здравствуйте, только что зарегался ... ничего не понял что хочет ТС, можно подробнее ? Спасибо.
Looks like Blizzard knows that Diablo 3 is their cash machine until Titan or whatever MMO they got cooked up goes live.
Just speculation but internally, I'm betting GW2 has Blizzard freaked out about WoW's substainability. I wouldn't be shocked if WoW went completely F2P with cash stores within a year.
Actually, while fees seem to be 1$/pound/euro depending on AH (which is ridiculous!), the maximum amount actually scales more or less correctly, with max being 250$ OR 200 euros OR 170 pounds (if I recall correctly from the Blizzard FAQ page).
By the way, how many of you actually think they'll ever buy/sell an item for more than 100$?!?! You really should share some of what you are smoking, as it's obviously too much for you!
Everyone expecting return of 3rd party sites due high fees. Thats wrong (true only for HC). Dont forget that sellers must sell where are buyers. And nothing force buyers to go to 3rd party sites - they dont care about fees when buying so they will stay at more convenient RMAH. So you can sell on 3rd party site but there will be hardly any buyer there. There will be enough ppl to supply RMAH without you, mainly those who dont expect to make money from it (so no additional 15% fee), and plan to spend what they earn back in RMAH.
whatever 3rd party will live is not so much about fees but how much is "Security" worth for ppl and how offensive will Blizzard be at hunting 3rd party (ealier they didnt rly care but now....)
@250$ cap... uck i hope that since eu needs to pay 1E fee rather then 1$ it will be 250E here ;p
I don't find the $1/transaction too terrible. I'm not sure what people were expecting. It seems like a lot of people were expecting to be able to quit their jobs and become millionaires via the RMAH, which is just unreasonable. The 15% cash out fee is quite a large chunk, but is obviously intended to keep people spending the money they make on Blizzard products (WoW subs and all that other junk). In the end, I view any money I make playing a video game is a bonus.
The real question is what Blizzard's actual intentions were when implementing the RMAH: hamstringing 3rd party sites, or just making some extra money. I wonder if this is going to be enough to put a real dent in the 3rd party sites. I guess time will tell.
Except the fact that if you have a Godly the buyers will HAVE to go to you if they want it. With those kinds of items it will always be a sellers market. You already admit to there being a community for hardcore, what makes you think that I couldn't find SC players on that forum that would want that BiS item with perfect stats?
Not to mention there are already sites that deal with this. There will also be lots of people using trading forums to trade down their godlys to sell on the RMAH, which will no doubt get PMs to sell it for cash.
I didn't need 8 million buyers competing for my items before. I won't even need 3, as long as 2 people with deep pockets want it, I'm happy.
The $250 cap is the only bad thing about the system. In fact it's terrible as it will mess with the free market and might scew other items prices as well.
