Could be either for me, depends where friends decide to play. Really though in other games I get MUCH better ping on American servers than Euro servers.

As it stands, the EU roster is twice as full as the US? Well because I've never been a follower (and also because Grisu has a restraining order that mandates I keep at least 1 server distance), I've got to go the road less traveled: US it is.
I'm not really sure what the different servers will mean. If we're constantly updating on the server, that's a lot of traffic. If it's just for saves and a check at start up for authentication, it really doesn't matter much where we save. I guess I don't really see the point.
Half of the game is server side, so a good ping is important, even if you are just playing alone.
There's also no pk in D3, so we are all safe from you.

@Morathi: Default for us Aus players is the US server.
