I was wondering how you could use the high number of strikes in Frenzy dual-wielding to your advantage. I was on DiabloNut looking at affixes and stuff, and I saw "chance to freeze/stn/immobilize/chill on hit" properties. I wonder if you could get a bunch of those to just wail on people until they're stunned, frozen, or immobilized a bunch. This combined with the Smite rune rolling for each strike could be really annoying/awesome depending on your perspective.
Any thoughts? /superstate
I say the nature of frenzy will make it useless in pvp anyway. You will never keep your stacks up.
You can just chase them, which is true of all melee. A build utilizing this would need good boots. By nature of the build, they should hopefully be in some sort of CC (initiated by something like ground stomp, what have you), which allows you to keep hitting them, proccing more things, etc.
Sure, but it just isn't reliable for me. Range, CCs to keep you at range, and CC reducers..all those will put you in a world of pain. Plus if you are going against a group..will be hard to focus one without getting interpreted and have your stacks fall off.
I would personally much rather take bash in pvp to get some knockbacks and stuns..when you get in close you want to do burst damage when you can, and not have to rely on ramping it up over time.
Burst damage, cc and oh **** cooldowns are king in pvp. I don't see frenzy satisfying any of those.
Every second you would theoretically spend bashing barrels in pvp to keep up stacks of frenzy are seconds you are either A. getting wailed on B. not closing the gap to your opponent and C. being generally worthless.
Bash with clobber(stun)/onslaught(damage)/instigation(fury) seems like it'll have so much more potential in PvP. Or even cleave with gathering storm(snare).
