    What do you mean by 'HAVE to die'? They already stated they aren't putting in any true instant kill moves, and HC is supposed to be for, well, hardcore gamers. It's more fun if it's not designed to be beaten, and you conquer it anyways, than if it's dumbed down. If you want a sure shot, try SC instead. HC will frustrate you to no end.

    I 100% agree. I don’t understand why people don’t see this. If its not beatable by hardcore you are removing an entire mode from the game. the entire point of hardcore goes out the window if you cant beat the game. I cant imagine anyone ever buying a game where the devs said “you cant win”. I understand that sc and hc is different but its my opinion that both should be beatable without dying. Since when did dying = hard and not dying = easy? You can have a hard game that’s a challenge and beat that game without dying. Should you be able to do it first play through? hell no. should 100% of the people be able to do it? no way, but it has to be beatable without dying otherwise they are just using cheap tactics to ensure everyone dies. Cheap tactics does not = hard and challenging. A challenge its something you can overcome, cheap tactics remove that possibility

    Again to spell it out for you people:

    Not being designed to be beatable doesn't mean it is going to unbeatable. It is just not a factor in their considerations but given time will most likely be possible.
    I see no game mechanic which would require you to die, so people will figure it out eventually.

    For it to be unbeatable it would have to be designed to be unbeatable which it is not.
    That's as naive logic as it goes, you should get the hint.

    Check out pg 5, post #49 and pg 6, post # 57. I make a case that what he might be indirectly supporting is the option that inferno survivability will be increased with solid coop play. Specific examples of reasoning are given. also, I see some no-1 shot comments...so sub 3 mobs hitting you at once where I ref. 1 shotting..point is the same imo. And by synergy, Im just refering to class overlap of buffs and debuffs in a good coop group.

    Whats the ultimate D2 HC accomplishment? its not beating hell, its being lvl 99. Doing this in Diablo 2 today starting fresh is not possible without hacking with a botter. And this is supposed to be even harder. sooo...

    I would consider the ultimate accomplishment is finding one of each rune and one of each legendary item

    and why is reaching lvl 99 impossible now without hacking and without a botter ?
    I think its easier now because you can respec

    Not for hardcore, levels meant something.

    You try running millions of Baal runs, it's quite tedious.

    Easier now not because of respec (which really isn't the case), but because everyone can be level 60.
