IMO, all three builds on the first post are... not that great at all. I don't see the viability of berserker rage, especially with only one fury generator and all the biggest spenders. You'd be one click spamming nearly the entire game.
Not to mention, #2 and #3 have no defensive capabilities and would most likely die to AOE damage in hell or above. #1 has very limited life gain, and if not taking hits, I don't see the usefulness of it either.
I hope not!
Here's the idea behind Berserker Rage for all 3 builds:
Build #1 rules:
Keep Battle Rage up at all times.
Use Revenge whenever available.
Build #1 rotation:
Frenzy till 100 Fury.
At 100 Fury, Wrath of the Berserker.
Frenzy till 100 Fury.
At 100 Fury, Call of the Ancients or Earthquake.
Frenzy till 100 Fury.
At 100 Fury, use the remaining cooldown.
Frenzy until death ensues.
Note how with this build, we use key cooldowns only when at full rage, allowing them to benefit from Berserker Rage, as well as Frenzy's Maniac effect.
Build #2 rules:
Keep Battle Rage up at all times.
Build #2 rotation:
Bash till 100 Fury.
Wrath of the Berserker.
Bash till 100 Fury.
CotA or EQ.
Bash till 100 Fury.
Use the remaining cooldown.
Bash till 100 Fury.
Smash once.
Bash twice will 100 Fury.
Smash once.
Repeat.
The idea here, again, is to have big cooldowns benefit from Berserker Rage. Note how, towards the end, we alternate between Bash and HotA/Smash in order to have its massive 270% benefit from Berserker Rage. Clever, isn't it?
Build #3 rules:
Keep Battle Rage up at all times. This is a given.
Keep yourself below 20% health at all times. Stand in fire for a while.
Build #3 rotation:
Bash till 120 Fury.
Use Wrath of the Berserker.
Use Earthquake or Call of the Ancients.
Use the remaining cooldown.
Spam Dread Bomb.
Here, you stand below 20% health, and you therefore have no need to generate Fury, as your skills cost none. This pretty much allows you to spam Dread Bomb, which hits ridiculously hard, and to have it benefit from Berserker Rage all along.
The premice is that I have a party to support me. As their ruthless yet fair leader, they will do what I ask them to do in order to keep my *** alive under fire. It'll be worth it, because these builds can probably pump out more DPS than two other players, for the simple fact that you do not run out of resources after a few seconds. Oh, and Dread Bomb will hit for 690% weapon damage before items or non-Barbarian damage bonus.
Maybe he was. However I saw many people who think that you do need a corpse for Dread Bomb.
How will you be kept up when under 20%? You'll get 1-shot in the majority of encounters.
You also don't know if the monk will be able to keep you up, may be frustrating is all I'm saying.
Asides from the unknown, would dread bomb expend all the fury even if under 20%?
I see, well just seems like it would be a difficult build to pull off, it could potentially be "the highest damage build" but the viability of it, is extremely questionable.
Here's one that actually looks very fun. Uses berserker rage, relentless, dread bomb:
