I'm a little confused by this. I know whatchampion monsters are, but above that, things get... odd.
In the wiki there's aBoss page and a
Bosses page. Apparently, "Bosses" are super-special "Boss"es, and it seems like they are all "SuperUniques", even though
Superunique redirects to "Bosses".
So, are "Boss"es Superuniques, or just "Bosses"? Also, why are Bosses called SuperUniques if there are no Uniques?Quest boss is a category, but how are they different from "Bosses"? My brain hurts.
Hopefully, you can understand my confusion.
So what are the official names of these different tiers?
Rare Spawns, like Dataminer and Firestarter.
Rare Fixed Spawns, like Lloigor the Crazed.
Rare Fixed Event Spawns, like Lord Dunhyld.
Fixed Quest Spawns, like Manglemaw and Mira Eamon. (Although you don't have to kill manglemaw to continue....)
Quest Bosses, like Headcleaver and Captain Dalton.
Act Bosses, like Diablo.
Ok!
Rare spawns have a yellow name.
Superuniques have a purple name.
Champion packs have a blue name.
Event bosses have a purple name because they're superuniques, but are only encountered in events.
Act bosses or minibosses are static bosses you fight through quests. All of these monsters are considered "elites". I would make it that simple because there's not a lot of value in going beyond that, imo.
