    Re: Help please

Are you positive it will run better than my current system as I'm doing some research and some sites are saying the intel intergrated in my system is slightly better. I'm not really a tech savy person (as u may have noticed) so I just want to make sure I get the better system for the little amount of money I have to spend. The AMD also has an intergrated card so it has no dedicated memory just like the system I have now, so I just want to be sure before I return this one. Again thanks alot for the help

According to this site http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Rad...G.55685.0.html the Radeon HD 6480G is in the same class as the Intel HD 3000, albeit much higher up in the class. Check out their hierarchy of laptop graphics cards here. Doesn't look too good for the 6480G, sorry.

Also, for reference, Flux posted a list of supported/unsupported video cards datamined from the beta in this thread. It doesn't show many laptop video cards, but should give you some idea at least. Note: the Intel HD 3000 is supported, but it's listed as LOW.

So you think I should stick with the Intel I have now or go with the AMD. I check that thread be4 andcouldnt find the AMD card listed.

I wasn't really recommending anything, just wanted you to know that the 6480G wasn't a significant upgrade over the HD 3000.

Your price range of $450 won't include anything with a dedicated graphics card for sure. Maybe try a refurbished laptop? Otherwise, it looks like your best option is to stick with an integrated GPU.

Edit: The laptop you currently have and the one from bestbuy that you linked are actually very comparable to each other in terms of processing power (the i3-2330M and the A4-3300M are direct competitors). The integrated GPU on the AMD is a little better, and the screen is bigger/higher res on the HP. It's not a bad deal for $350, IMHO. Just don't expect a lot.

Thanks for the info, I know I'm not going to get a great system in my price range but i'll keep looking around for a deal now that I know a little more about what specs to look for.

Theres no graphicscard in the AMD APU machines, it's the cpu that run the games. Or rather, there's a GPU and a CPU side by side in the CPU.

OP said he had a budget of 450$ and since he wants to game I think he cant really cut it much more. His 350$ will play Diablo on the low settings, but I don't understand why he doesn't look for something better. I mean 450$+gaming+laptop, thats pretty much a hard equation all by itself.

Bestbuy also has an A6 for 430$, I'd say he should get that instead and don't go so cheap he get's no satisfaction from his buy.

Thankx for the info Felix been lookin at a few diff systems even some desktops if worst comes to worse. Do you think the game would atleast run decent on the AMD A6 system, and how much better would you consider it than the A4 system setup?

Atleast the Intel seems to handle SC2 on med settings pretty well, something to hold my attention as I've never played tarcraft be4.
