I have watched a few newegg videos on rig building and they seemed pretty straightforward. I know there was one that said specifically NOT to put the mobo on the antistatic bag. After watching those videos, the whole task seemed a little less daunting to me. I have no trouble assembling something like that, its just the power up and BIOS part that scares me a little.
Besides setting up the XMP profile for the memory you shouldn't have anything else to do in the BIOS, unless you want to tweak some stuff for personal preference, but as far as making it work, you won't have anything to do there. I think most of the Z77 boards now set the AHCI mode by default, so that is one thing you won't have to do. You might need to change the boot sequence but with the UEFI BIOS it's very simple.
