Fun fact about the Witch Doctor forum

In the polls that have been done about which character is your favorite/are you going to play etc... , the Witch Doctor was never higher than third on the list. However, looking at the forum stats you can easily see that the Witch Doctor forum has:
1: more threads than the other character forums
2: more posts than the other character forums (nearly 10k vs 5k for the Barbarians)
3: more average viewers than the other character forums

So my question is: has it changed?
I mean is Witch Doctor the character that most people are going to play on release or are the Witch Doctor'ers much more active than the rest? It could be interesting to maybe run another poll before the game comes out, so we would know what people actually want to play as.

Curious about that as well. For myself, I was 99% sure I would play WD until the open beta hit. Now, it will be most likely DH or WD or Monk or grrrrr ehhh

I decided I would play Witch Doctor about 6 month ago and after playing each class to the SK it hasn't changed. However, I tought I would never like the Barbarian, but after playing with him, he got the second place just after WD.

I think more people like the Witch Doctor than polls let on.

Apparently the StarCraft Reddit is full of Zerg players - by a landslide. That's not indicative of the player-race distribution in the game, though. Maybe a similar phenomenon occurs with D3.

The majority of people I talk to see stating with WD.

If you want to compare forum views/posts you should run them again and omit the main OT thread in each.

Nearly Identical take on classes. The barbarian was a blast to play. Probably the most balance in diversity once you had all the skills at level 13.

I would have thought the play the DH last as it didn't look all that interesting. After playing the beta it went up a slot and barbarian went to the 3rd slots where the wizard was. Wizard went to the bottom of the list as I didn't feel it's true potential quite yet. Some of her skills were boring IMO but that may change come release.

AS it is The WD is still my first choice followed by the Monk Barb (And to think I didn't like melee classes in ARPGs) DH then the wizard.

Could be that the type of player attracted to the witch doctor is just chattier than the average (Whereas Barbarians, of course, are dudes of few words.)

I know it's MY favorite class, and I am VERY chatty. And we all know that a sample of 1 is all you need to prove a statistical generalization!

Also, when the WD asks Leah: "How did your mother pass into the unformed land?", she goes: "You mean 'how did she die'?" in a slightly irritated tone :P.

Poor WD - he tries to be polite, but people just tell him to shut up whenever he starts talking about the spirits :(. I can't wait to meet a non-Jondar Necromancer ingame so that he and the WD can share a brofist.
