Oh c'mon. It's not my thing either, but neither are achievements in traditional sports or politics or art or whatever... no more ridiculous than wanting to have the deepest free diving record or longest bungee jump or the most oscars or whatever it is that people get up to. People have all kinds of ways of challenging and extending themselves, and excluding primarily altruistic goals like curing cancer, none of them is essentially any more ridiculous than the others. What exactly are YOU doing with your life that is so inherently valuable?
Anyway, one interesting thing about D3 as opposed to D2 that could affect hardcore record times... is the random event business. Even on your second or third or fourth attempt, you could run into the Hell equivalent of the Jar of Souls or Den of the Fallen for the first time, and be really taken by surprise. I would think that could slow people down quite a lot![]()
I see what you mean. Personally I feel that way about marathon runners, or people who put 60 hours a week into their business. Or people who take 6 books with them on holiday... Or those sad individuals that go to the beach in the summer to bask in the sun all day...
We live in a universe with such a vast timescale that even blowing up our solar system would be of utterly insignificance. So let’s all just do something we like every once in a while.
*AHWolf shrugs and goes back to gaming*
dont get me wrong I love playing D3, but going hard out for hours to get to lvl 60 then jump onto the internet and brag about it seems like such a retarded thing to do. well thats my opinion for what its worth which is not much.
meh, we could have a 2 day head start..... still some korean guy gets lvl60 first.

I would like to be the absolute middle level 60, Not the first and not the last but the middle![]()
why does it matter who gets world first do you get like a million dollars for doing that or do you just get to brag amongst your friends
I won't call the person to do it a looser, but I couldn't really care less.
