ya I agree - some of us are married/kids/job/other interests ... but still look forward to diablo like the second coming ... but us adults realize if you spend too much time doing one thing - our other things will suffer (or we will when it comes to our wifes disdain)

He is a troll, but usually he gets world first in leveling in WoW. And after that he gets banned becuase he used some exploits. Or have half of the guild to help him to get to max level.
Actually, the worlds first is most likely going to be in South Korea or China. The Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealend are both stuck on NA sever, that is true.
However, Koreans, Taiwanese and Chinese have their own servers, all of which will have hours of headstart before EU, and especially long headstart before the North America. Thats what the controversy was couple of weeks ago, because Americans (and SE Asians and Australians) were angry that they are the last to start the game. That means that South Koreans and Chinese will be the first ones to play the game.
One thing to note, though, is that Taiwanese share server with South Koreans. How is that orginised, I have no idea, since South Koreans speak Korean, and Taiwanese speak a dialect of Chinese.
And, of course, the title and honor of being the first player to kill Act IV boss in Inferno is up for grabs, regardless of server.

Does it really matter who is worlds first? I would think being first on server should be enough for people. Me I personally don’t care either way but if anything I believe the worlds first (probably 4 at the same time) person to beat HC inferno is what I would be interested in
Honestly I think a lot of people are going to get to 60 around the same time. So what makes it official? First dude to post a youtube video? Kinda dumb imo. No ladder in the game to know for sure.
I'd argue that it'll be the first PLAYERS to finish Inferno, as it's most likely that it'll be finished by four people at once...if Inferno's as difficult as they say.
First video of lvl 60 char will of course be a major triumph for many players. First posted video on Youtube, or first live-stream showcasing a lvl 60 char is my guess how this will be displayed.
With 4-5 millions of players (just random number to illustrate) it is enough to have 1 player of 1000 interested in a subject, for it to be of great interest to many (4000-5000).
I am one of those 4000-5000, I will certainly look for the worlds first lvl 60!
About the times, I guess I have to read up some more about China, South Korea etc.
First player(s) to beat Inferno in HC-mode is the ultimate challenge I agree!
