    HAHAHAHA.True lol.

What i try to explain to Enlil and he does not understand, it's easy.He keep telling that farmers make more than traders, while he compared a PRO farmer with a CRAP trader.I am comparing a PRO farmer with a PRO trader.

How can a pro trader make 5 times more money than a pro farmer?

We take into consideration that both sell gold only, selling items in GAH and the gold in RMAH.We cannot take into consideration the LUCKY 100 $ drop.Might drop once in a blue moon, and not for same pro farmer.

So, a pro farmer that farms for 10 hours / day will sell his stuff in GAH for gold that added to the gold drops cumulate a value of 2$ / hour.
So, 20$.He can sell 8 items in GAH for gold worth 2$ / item (16$) and sell gold in RMAH for 4$.

A pro trader that buy/sell in GAH 100 items each proces at 2$ worth of gold, for a net profit of 5% / item, will earn 10 cents worth of gold / item , so 10$ worth of gold to be sold in RMAH.Doing it with 200 items, the pro trader earns as much as the pro farmer.

So, in order to earn 5 times more, the pro trader needs to play with 1,000 items worth of 2$ each or 500 worth 4$ each and so on.
This for same ammount of time as the pro farmer, 10 hours / day.A pro trader can "flip" 2-3 items / hour / account, which means 20-30 new listings every hour, so 200-300 in 10 hours...per ONE account. In order to flip 1,000 items in 10 hours, he needs 3-4 accounts.

It is A LOT of work, but a pro trader with 4 accounts is not really a PRO trader.

Also, the more valuable the items that he flips are, the less flips / hour, BUT the 5% is also bigger.

Imagine a PRO trader with 10 accounts (he will buy 10 accouts IF IT WORTH buying them - if the pro farmer cannot sell his stuff, neither the pro trader will buy more accounts). If he makes 5 times more with 4 acounts, he will make 12 times more with 10 accounts. This is how the things WORK in a healthy economy.

In the end, all comes to the same conclusion : the MORE $$$ / hour a pro farmer can made, the MORE $$$ the pro trader will.

BUT, just imagine the NOT so pro farmers, that sell stuff UNDERPRICED, stuff that the pro trader FLIPS it for 10% or 20% profits. The pro farmer CANNOT do it, because, DUH, he is busy farming .

If the stuff does NOT sell, and the pro farmer only makes 1$ / day...the pro trader will do 5$ / day.I wonder who will quit making momey first, the 1$ / day farmer or the 5$ / day trader?
And, what happends if farmers quits ? The items and gold will worth MORE (becayse BUYERS do not quit).Once the prices rise, the farmers will farm more, earning more, but so will the traders.

It really doesn't matter how much a pro farmer can make / hour...the pro trader will make 5 times more (at least).

Good luck farming Inferno in max MF and GF gear.

You should at least LOGICALY know ( because of the RMAH) that Inferno will be hard for most players. For a pro player like you or me or whoever on this forums, will be not that hard...IF we use GOOD damage / survability gear.

Even for the BEST PRO KILLING MACHINE will be close to impossible to survive in Inferno with max MF and GF gear. You will use SOME MF and GF gear..but only as much as to keep ya PROFITABLE.If you lose more gold in MF and GF max gear because you will die every 5 minutes, you will understand that MF and GF geat will work in normal and nightmare...but once the dificulty rise, so the need to use proper gear will.

Now i really understand why you think farming is better. You just wrongfully assumed that Inferno will be farmable in MF and GF gear

Wanna make gold farming Inferno ? Quit the ideea of MF and GF gear.

No one knows how hard inferno will be "I'll believe it when I see it" AI mobs are not very smart.
Simple positioning and use of the terrian/enviroment can out smart even the toughest mobs, as you should know from your wow playing.

If it is that hard then character build will have to adapt to suit the situation, we shall have to see.

They (Blizzard) said that we will die in Inferno.Alot.
While i know that AI mobs are not very smart, i am just poiting the bellow scenario with a stupid mob:

-the mob hits for 10,000 points of damage
-a proper geared character will have a HP of 5,000 points, a 70% damage reduction (for phisycal or magic damage)
-a MF and GF geared character have a HP of 3,000 points and a 10% damage reduction

Also, if Inferno will be hard JUST because mobs are harder to kill and hit harder...i will kill myself.Literaly.They will be also more faster, or have teleport ability, and, most likely...we ain't gonna have any terrain/enviroment to use. There will be some situations, but most likely those will be very rare.

They said it is going to be hard.

How hard...we shall see, as you said.

This is all a very lively discussion (although I'm still not sure what the argument between enlil and semakka is actually about, but I do know semakka can write a lot). At the same time, it's a lot of speculation. We really don't know what things are going to be like on the D3 servers in a month. If we had an idea about how hard Inferno is going to be, we could get an idea about how rare high level gear will be. But despite Blizzard assuring us it will be "very hard", we still don't know. I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm creating a website for the Diablo 3 Auction house community named http://www.d3ah.org. It's in development as of right now.

I agree with you. It's just so hard to tell right now.

I'm having serious doubts, honestly. I want to believe making a significant amount of money from Diablo 3 will be possible, but I don't know. We'll find out soon enough.

I just like the idea of essentially being paid to play Diablo 3. :D

    Oh, I know!

Since South Korea refuses to have the RMAH, we can sell items and gold to the South Koreans outside of battle.net!
