From the datamined info, you can get very close if not beyond 100% chance to critically hit. As you said, depending on how quickly you attack... that could turn an offensive build into something absolutely defensive as well. If 110% WD is to be anywhere as good as other spenders, it'll need to be at least twice per second, mutiplied by the number of targets... that'd be a lot of regeneration.
If crit from different sources will not stack additively, that would be totally weird, since any other damage stat is (at least when you only think about raw direct damage) linear to itself when you add more items that give that stat.
Channeling spells aren't affected by weapon speed?
By different sources I meant items and skills. You can get ~+46% crit just from items. It would be ridiculous, if skill bonuses would stack additively with that. I think crit% either has a cap and/or it stacks multiplicatively in a way, the the different sources would be checked separately for crit. For example in that case 30% crit from items and skill would equal 51% crit. I'm not aware of any method that could be used to test this in the beta. We won't be locked in the Halls of the Blind for too long now.
Yes, they are. An attack with channeled skills lasts 1 / APS second (what's called a cycle), the same amount of time it would take you to swing your weapon. To get your DPS with a channeled skill multiply your DPS with the skill's damage multiplier, so 2.15 for Ray of Frost for example. Skills that deal continuous damage will crit once per cycle.
Some channeled skills don't do continuous damage and fire discrete projectiles instead, like Arcane Torrent, Dire Bats, Electrocute. These skills crit per hit.
Well, getting 46% crit from just items probably will be either impossible or very difficult, and besides, getting a lot of crit from skills is not very easy either - You have to make serious sacrifices to make that happen. I kinda doubt they'll make crit stack in a f-ed up way, but I guess that's possible. Wasn't crit capped at like 75% or something?
Crit capped or not, at 110% weapon damage for 16 fury per sec, I can assure you that WW will hit very quickly if it's expected to keep up with other spenders. It also has an area of effect to it, of course, multiplying your chances to crit by however many foes you make contact with.
