Just further proof permaximum is full of ****. Glad to hear that people love the game which honestly is not shocking and that permaximum just makes up stuff to help proving his point and in the US or Bahamas we have a term for people like that it is Liar. A bit tongue in cheek because I am pretty sure the Turkish people would call him a liar too.

Well, to play devil's advocate, Perma came in with completely unsubstantiated "news" that 80% of Turkish players hate the beta. You disagree. Then someone comes in to say that 80% of the players like it, still unsubstantiated, and you accept it.

At this point, the game is done, and your opinion is the only one that should matter to you.

Well, since our sample size is now three, (including the guy I googled), it's 67% of turks that don't like it and 33% that do. so you're both wrong.

Re: Anyone else having a terrible feeling of... "meh" ?

I can't say that I was blown away by what I saw in the beta. But it wasn't terrible either. I also think the game has lost the "gothic atmosphere" and the lore is dull, but I have my own theory to explain it. I was a kid when I played D1 and obviously I was afraid of the dissected bodies, demons and skeletons with a haunting music in the background. The tomes of knowledge scattered throughout the Labyrinth seemed to me very mysterious as well. But for the most part I think that it had such an effect on me, because I was a kid. Now I'm just being nostalgic when playing D1, which makes me biased. D2 had a lesser effect on me, and in D3 it's almost absent. I suppose that means I grew up, that's it. Blizz lore stayed the same (I suspect if I were a teenager right now, D3 storyline would be perfect for me).

But the game mechanics, that's another story... I can see a lot of potential there. This game can have a very long lifespan, similar to its prequels. Don't be too fast to rate this game as boring; imagine if you were playing D2 just up until the Countess: dark & boring color palette, no real challenge, little mob variation. Same thing here - this is only the beginning. To my mind, things will become much more interesting when later difficulties start. The addition of Inferno mode is simply great, no more end boss rushes (at least it sounds like we will have greatly modified ones), endless fun with artisans and the recipes (glorified and much more interesting version of D2 gambling), easy ways to trade with the Auction House, randomized quests & events, many more class builds than there were in LOD. And yeah, the graphics were updated, lol.

I miss the old chat channels, but those can be added in the near future.

I don't believe either honestly but it is the exact counter to the BS I heard earlier so they cancel each other out meaning neither are right. But permaximum is a liar and a troll so I would believe many things besides what is spewed from him. And not entirely sure why is still allowed to post here. I left this forum a while back because of people like him allowed to flourish here and while the other forum I use now has dissenting views about d3 obvious trolls are not allowed to live there. And it seems they all come here instead.

My opinion is the only one that matters so I appreciate your last statement. At this point wild horses could not pull me away from playing d3 on may 15th.

What is going on in this thread lol....

Is there seriously argument about what Turks think about D3?

Zomg 80% of turks hate D3 this game is doomed.

Re: Anyone else having a terrible feeling of... "meh" ?

the game is pretty boring single player

multi-player is definitely the way to play it

its too boring running around trying to find stuff single player

is it defiled crypt 1 or is it defiled crypt 2 or is it defiled crypt 3 ?
at least with multi player you can split up and find the stairs and quest objectives quickly

but if we change of definition of
    "actually playing the game"
    from
"slowly and deliberately exploring every inch of every hallway"
    to
"working together as a team to quickly and efficiently complete quest objectives, while at the same time watching each others backs and not playing recklessly"

then the game becomes incredibly fun

but exploring every inch of every hallway is not

I guess that’s why I was so disappointed when the announced they were delaying PvP

playing PvP together as team was one of the things I was looking forward to the most; its why I still play Warhammer Online, and its also why I was excited for GW2

so I’m very, very glad to have participated in the open beta

I now know that from the very second the game comes out, I will ONLY be playing public multi player games

which is completely opposite of what I did in D2

    @jamesL
As if Arcane Sanctuary quest was built differently from the King's Crown one.

Re: Anyone else having a terrible feeling of... "meh" ?

One thing which bothers me about D3, after playing the open beta, is lack of almost any dynamic lighting. I think D2 had a more interesting lighting system than D3 has, after ****ing 10 years in development. In D2 many monsters caused floor to glow and the hero was a clear light source, which was very visible in areas like tombs from act 2. Many people remember those shadows behind pillars, which moved with you. In D3 there is almost ZERO light sourcing. That's probably caused by their 2.5d rendering technology which prohibits it for a lot of objects, like trees.

Turk, American, Afghan or from outer space it doesn't make any difference at this point. I just wanted to express my own observations about community response. Some like the game, some don't but in the end this game will be a big financal success.

After witnessing the cutting off of my favourite systems out of the game which made me adore this game in the first place , I've already given up about gameplay experience. I am just looking forward to see how the story is going to be shaped.
