That's indeed an awesome story, Neinball. Uncanny.

When people tell me "plz" just because it's shorter than 'please', I feel perfectly justified to answer 'No' because it's shorter than 'Yes'.
And the Lord said unto Carl: 'Come forth and receive eternal life'. But Carl came fifth and won a toaster.
Current Server: Sisters of Elune (US), formerly Magtheridon (US)
Fav Character: I love them all pretty equally, but Mistro, my nelf Druid was my first back in '05. I'm currently enjoying my lvl 40 gnome subtlety rogue engineer leveling twink (thats a mouthful), Bladepiston ( http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...episton/simple ). Can't wait till lvl 50 when I get two 81 stamina trinkets and use of Saronite Bombs.
Fondest Memory: Getting the lvl 40 mount from the first Brewfest, failing my first dungeon runs in VC and SM Lib long before the LFD, and recently, taking down entire flag-capturing squads in WSG by getting behind the group and taking them out one by one. Rogues are insane, even more than Hunters >_>.
Server: my main was khaz'goroth but its been a long time since i played
Fav Toon: Beest, lvl 60 druid(vanilla wow) tauren.
Fondest memory: when my guild started 20/40 man raids i was the only druid. HOT'ing entire 40 mans. fav memory is MC we wiped on trash except for me and there was one rumbler (?) floating earth elemental dudes left. there was alot of yelling on vent as i ran and moonfired it from about 25% health to death.
A bit of thread necroing here, but somehow I don't think the front WoW board suffers much from having this bumped. Besides, the wording of the thread title is pretty much asking to post a bit late.
Server: Ahn'Quiraj EU. Haven't had WoW installed at all since news of what was going to change in the then upcoming Cataclysm hit me. And in case you're wondering, yes, that's what made me quit. Didn't even need to see it in game to know that I was going hate it just that much.
Fav Toon: My Night Elf druid, who came into being around the time Ahn'Quiraj opened for the first time and ended her career not too long after Arthas died.
Fondest Memory: I've always had a thing for the druid class and northern Kalimdor, so let me tell you a little story about those. The story starts when I pick up the quest to gain my first shapeshifting ability, bearform. At least back then, the quest involved teleporting oneself to Moonglade with the druid spell made specifically for that purpose.
Talking to the spirit bear there was a piece of quest dialogue I remember liking quite a bit. After I was done, I was told to go back to Teldrassil, to the druid trainer.
So I set off to travel there. What I completely failed to notice, was that there was a flightmaster in Moonglade. So of course I headed into that interesting cave that seemed to lead in the right direction.
I think that was the first time I ran into skull-marked (due to level difference) enemies. I had heard of them, of course, having done my research on the game while I had been waiting to get it in the mail. But damn, those furbolgs were mean.
I had also done my homework on the death mechanic of the game, so after a couple of deaths trying to get through timbermaw hold, I decided to be a smart druid and use the spirit healer at the graveyard instead.
The one smack in the middle of Felwood, that is, since I had failed to observe that the zone changed somewhere inside the cave and my wisp wasn't in Moonglade like I'd thought.
Naturally, Felwood was just a little too much trouble to try and chain-rez through after it became obvious I wasn't getting anywhere alive at level 10, so I decided to wisp it all the way to Ashenvale, then Darkshore.
And of course, while I was at it, I'd head straight for Teldrassil, what with this wisp movement speed bonus and all that meant that I wasn't even going to need the boat!
Yeah...
It's safe to say that winning the roll for that epic-quality tentacle-staff from Karazhan, which used to be some powerful gear for a feral druid, was nowhere near as rewarding as finally finishing that quest and getting to use bearform for the first time ever.
