How long did it take you?
Can it be done without baal or chaos runs within a reasonable period of time? (ie, one-two months of regular play).

You could read this thread - the current leader is zgpmf, and he is doing it by doing nihli runs IIRC.
I have *once* gotten to 93, and that was already extremely frustrating. The spf has some mad people, I tell you.
- Hasn't the consensus for ages been that Baal kills are the most effective (the *only* thing effective) for the last few levels? I suppose in sp it might be different since you can make new runs very fast, and you don't need to kill anything else in order to get to kill Nihla.![]()
There are some alternative methods like doing nihli and saving the ancients or doing shrine shopping while dia running (SP concept as it relies on static maps). But yes, the SPF has some mad people, I can only recommend checkin some of the 99er threads out.
Some folks claim that it is best to run Diablo with a character than hasn't patted/matted, then do the Ancients at Lvl 98.
Me, well I've made Lvl 94 with a couple of characters and that made me bleed my intestines out through my eye sockets. Good luck!![]()

In SP it's probably best to do p8 cowruns at patch level 1.09.

You know I'm born to lose / and gambling is for fools / but that's the way I like it, baby / I don't want to live forever!
Took me a little over a year in SP with a CS Hammerdin with saved Ancients but there were a couple of breaks where I didn't really play in 2-3 months.
The highest Ive ever done is lvl 98 Hammer/smiter hybrid.. This ladder actually.
Me and my brother playing 3-5 hours a day(Same char ofc). 5-6 days a week. Mfing public diabaal runs!
Peace
