I've never in my entire life stayed up all night to game, so I don't believe that even as excited as I am for D3 that this time's going to be any different :P.

D3 could certainly be the closest to making it happen, but ultimately, I think I always enjoy gaming more when I'm nice and rested. And since I want to make the first playthrough of Diablo 3 as enjoyable as possible, I'll probably get some rest each night :P.

Although I'm a pretty untidy person, I'm a very 'clean' and hygienic sorta guy - I normally have sit-down meals and don't eat at my keyboard :P.

Don't take any of this to mean that I'm not crazy though, because you better believe my life is sad enough that I'm doing nothing but playing D3 for at least a week :P.

Guys seriously, i wont read through all the comments, but from the few i've read, you guys should be ashamed of yourself if you cannot find time to eat/shower/sleep and do all the things that are necessary for a normal life. A month ago there was a thread entitled smth like, doing the necessities while playing diablo 3. It was pretty much a guy asking for the best way to piss in a bowl for the sake of saving 2 mins of gaming. Personally i think that thread was a disgrace for the entire diablo 3 community, I requested the thread to be closed/deleted immediately and i felt personally offended as a devoted gamer. Believe me when i say it, i will be hardcore diablo 3 player (i have no obligations whatsoever after may 15th) and will probably play this game 12-16 hours per day for the next 2-3 months. But being unable to perform the necessary things such as eat/toilet and anything else related to personal hygiene... no... just no !

not gonna lie here, my wife gives me **** all the time over my eating habits. i dont eat celery and lettuce for the health reasons, i actually prefer the taste over potatoe chips and other quick snack. i know its odd and will never try to argue that its something others should do too lol

edit: i remember that post about the guy wanting to know how to go to the bathroom when the game is out. i had a bit of fun with that topic. i took time off work, that gives me plenty of game time plus eat and sleep time. fully agree you need to take care of the other stuff first, play diablo in the free time. if you took time off work thats already 8 bonus hours you have to play a day, thats not bad

I'm glad I wasn't actively browsing at the time of that thread >_>.

Anyway Apoc, pretty jealous that you like celery and lettuce as a snack food over something savoury :P. That's a very useful trait to have in life :P.

Re: Your Diablo 3 release day food options.

Ok then lets talk foods, as it is pretty important to keep proper nutrition. People might say, naa its just sitting in front of the pc, don't need much food. That is very wrong, gaming takes serious amount of sugar (which is mainly consumed by the brain) so proper diet is very important. I consider myself to be quite the virtuous when it comes to cooking and managing the kitchen.
So here is my suggestions from one of my favorite (and fast to prepare) meals:

I will skip the part of snacks and sweets, as that is different for everyone.
I eat a lot of meat, the downside of this is it can be pretty hard on the stomach if you overeat, so my suggestion: Get steak, chicken breasts! Best meat out there, you can eat ton of it and still dont feel heavy on the stomach, combine it with boiled potatoes and a salad is a MUST. You can eat this every day, its easy to prepare (fried, or cooked together with the potatoes).

Get ur self a pizza oven ( its not that expensive, 100$ if not cheaper) and buy some pizza dough (they sell this in any supermarket).
Get tomato sauce, salami, mushrooms, cheese, cottage cheese, olives (this could make the pizza really spicy and heavy on taste, which i sometimes prefer) and mash em all up on the dough. The pizza takes 5-7 mins to prepare, and 10 mins to bake. You get urself a godly meal in 20 mins. A quick tip here: put 3 tablespoons of oil in a cup, once the pizza is 4-5 mins in the oven, open it up and gently apply the oil on the edges of the pizza wit ha cooking brush, the egdes usually burn black and get tough to eat so this should make them soft and even mroe enjoyable.

Get a toster, its a wonder what you can do with bread, bit of cheese, some spices and some cheap *** salami...

Another good (and I think easier) alternative to your pizza suggestion is to use a chilled premade pizza from your supermarket, but add your own nutritious ingredients on top like fresh vegetables and additional cheese (so the layer of topping is really thick), then just pop that into the oven.

This is something I already do on occasion, and I reckon it's a good compromise for the lazy, but health-conscious gamer :P.

Dont trust them z00t, it might be some conspiracy with the prupose of preventing me having the time of my life with this game, do they sell them really cheap ? Might wanna rethink about that... i will stick with the dough only
