I play nightmare with paladin and i c monsters or group of them that are impossible to kill. I play /players8.
5 monsters attack together with poison, frozen, curse and lightning all together.
Practically with any gear i find it impossible to get away.
Does this happen often? Do u just skip it?
My general question is: Does the game have these ''impossible'' situations by definition?

You can do a lot with tactics - clear out an area, and lure the bad guys in. Try to isolate them from each other, using parts of the scenery when possible (doorways, trees, rocks, etc.) You can take advantage of the Esc key to pause the game as well, so you can consider tactics. You can check to see what immunities they have by pausing the game, placing your curser on the monster, and unpausing the game for a split second before repausing. This is particularly effective against the Ancients. What type of monster is challenging you in this way?

The problem with boss packs is that the minions stay near the boss. You can use that to your advantage by going to a place where the boss doesn't notice you, but a few of the minions, so the minions will approach but turn back when being withing range of your character. Don't run after them, but make a few attacks and let them come back later until they are dead.
You might have to clear out the area around the problematic boss, so you have enough space for that tactic.
I usually fight only when there are good reasons for it, e.g. when it's needed to get past them or when I expect good drops or XP in a reasonable amount of time. For example, I simply teleport through Durance 2 when doing Meph runs and ignore everything there.

He says he's in nightmare on p8 so I can't see as how the reason would be anything other than XP, he needs to level up before he can go to hell.
That said, skipping difficult boss packs isn't unreasonable. Sometimes you just get a silly combination of modifiers on the pack and it is way harder than average. There's no shame in just sliding on by. If you find yourself doing that a lot then it may be time to re-think your build or strategies, but if it only happens once in a while you're fine.
