I remember a movie...or Doctor Who.

Seen these threads around.

I have a very vivid memory of something I saw when I was younger. I want to say it was on the sci fi channel (before they changed the name).

It had a desert "wild west" setting with electric lights overhead during the day. It was a gun duel between a cowboy and a, kind of, cyborg cowboy. The cyborg had a fake eye with metal on his face, and when he walked under the lights, the lights exploded.

Now I was watching the preview for the new doctor who series, and the exact scene happened. I almost crapped my pants. Nobody I have ever talked to even knows what I'm talking about.

Any doctor who fans out there? The old series? Am I just remembering some old doctor who episode?

I've watched Dr Who since the Pertwee days and own all of the everything since the restart. Can you be a little more specific about the gunfighting cyborg? Movie or series? Approximate date? Westworld? Oblivion (aliens not cyborgs, but the same look)?

I'm afraid I can't outside of the linked doctor who trailer. I was pretty young, and I seem to remember watching it on the sci fi channel. It was definitely on tv, but I can't say whether or not it was a movie or a series.
I looked up a trailer for westworld and that may be it, but I'm still not seeing the exact scene. I really appreciate the response. I think for the sake of my sanity I'll just say it was westworld.

I've seen all of the doctor who episodes, but the early ones, I watched them when I was a wee little red. I don't remember any wild west settings in any of them.

*Quietly sits in a corner and raises hand* I like Doctor Who.

But I've only seen the new series (which are pretty BA, even though I don't very much enjoy Matt Smith... or maybe it's his companion Amy that annoys the crap out of me >.> meh, I digress). I've seen some of the old ones, but when it comes to sci-fi, I'm a sucker for FX man.

The only cyborg I've seen thus far on Doctor Who were the Cybermen, although they hardly look like cowboys >.>

That's a good one. I remember hearing that 'and don't call me Shirley' line in the movie at the time and thinking it was hilarious. Seems really old now, but I guess it is. Still a good line though.
