The key word you should look for is IPS.
No more not being able to see your screen at an angle :P
there will be no increase in field of view, right?
i have a 24" IPS 1980:1200 and i actually switched to 16:9 letterbox so i can see more at the left and right edge of the monitor. 16:10 reduces field of view it seems.
When I get my $350 27" IPS (Yamakasi Catleap), I will post my opinion as well. I was about to pull the trigger on a $650 Apple 27" Cinema Display til I heard about this. My unit should be delivered on Tuesday -- W00t!!
I am also looking for a 27" monitor that runs in 2560 x 1440. My current monitor is an asus 26,(something) that runs in 1920X1200 which is a 16:10 aspect and that isn´t supported by diablo3 unless you use the letterbox option :/
I was thinking about something like this: http://www.pricerunner.dk/pi/25-2794...T-Produkt-Info
(or can anyone reccomend something else?)
Do not get a TN Panel if you can afford an IPS panel.
look for a good 27" IPS panel.

thx a lot Bowzer. I appreciate the help. Yeah those monitors are the Crème de la Crème :-), but I am not sure how much taxes there will be on it, when it comes to Denmark. To give you an estimation the samsung screen costs over 1000 us dollars...that´s how expensive electronics are here and you don´t want to know about cars lol. I´ll have to think about it, but while I was checking for a monitor with the IPS technology I found this and it´s cheaper than the samsung:

That's a great monitor if you don't mind matte.
I'm more of a glossy with LED backlight kind of guy.
