Making a new paladin

So a few seasons ago I grinded my *** of to get a hammerdin. Did manage it and got everything for it, enigma, hoto, hoz and so on and another set for ubers which I also did.

In the end the game became kinda boring, there is basically nothing a hammerdin cant do. Sure a javazon probably clears areas faster but other then that I didnt really see a reason to even make another char because whatever I did nothing beats a hammerdin. Wind druid came close but no ubers.

This time around im steering clear of the hammerdin, got my blizz sorc up and mfing hell meph and I have been extremely lucky this time (in my opinion that is) and ive started a zealot but its not working to good for me.

My gear so far:
Vamp gaze (not actually using this yet as I just found it and im not sure I want to use it)
Telling of beads
Razors edge / butchers pupil (not upped, yet)
Black hades with one hel and 2 open sockets
Mosers (unsocketed still looking for a palashield to make ancients pledge or spirit)
Sigons gloves
Bul khatos ring 5ll
ravenfrost
sigons belt
Natalayas boots

So the bk ring, gaze and a pul is pretty luck (for being me) plus my sorc has found a shako and vipermagi.
Now I dont know where to go from here, what do I prioritize? I have a pul from rune quest and these items basically. The sorcs items will stay as shes my mfer but the palas are all exchangeable. A grief is of course the maingoal with a hoz. Seeing as I wont be getting hoz or grief any time soon (unless theyre worth less this season) what would you do in my situation? Pul should give a guillames right? Or do I use it to up butchers pupil or try and farm for a mal and go for oath? The gaze, should I keep it or go for a guillames?

Mainly wondering which upgrades would benefit me most because right now in a1 hell im being slaughtered to no end :(. Anyone got any tips?

If I were in your situation, this is what I would do.

Do Meph, Countess, Pit, and Cow runs. A sorc should be able to handle all those in 1 player games. Meph for basic set/uniques (G.Face, String of Ears, Gore rider, Laying of Hands, etc). Countess for a Mal rune or higher. Hang on to the Pul because you will need it for Oath. Pits and Cows for runeword bases. You also may get lucky while doing these and find some nice items. Eventually, you should find an ethereal zerker axe, ettin axe, conquest sword, cryptic sword. Or find enough runes/items to trade for one.

For your Paladin's gear, G. Face should cost pgems. I don't play on realms, but Pul for G. Face sounds high.

It looks like you might be low on resists based on your gear. I would swap Telling of Beads for a Prismatic amulet until you can get Highlord's. Fanatic Zealots don't gain a lot from +skills.

Black Hades doesn't offer much. Swap for Smoke, Lionheart, or Treachery. They are all cheap and give good resistances.

Put two perfect diamonds in that Mosers. I can't imagine any reason not to.

Swap Sigon's belt for String of Ears. LL and %DR help, and it shouldn't be too expensive. Change Sigon's gloves for either Laying of Hands (damage) or Dracul's Grasp (survival). LoH might be easier to get.

For boots, its pretty much Gore Rider or Goblin Toe.

Well I took the plunge and traded the pul for goreriders, its good in the damage sence but as you noticed survivability is what I need. Right now everything but diamonds are dropping so im trying to get the mosers socketed which would give me almost 0 in res in hell. The hades is mosty because its what I found but a lionheart would be really nice right now. Im thinking of trading the bk since its a bk ring and 5% ll it should net an ist or two atleast im hoping which can go towards more beneficial gear since as you pointed out skills dont really do that much for me.
