I guess 39 days.
I think it will take 14.5 days since the launch of the game.
I'm gonna hedge my bet that Bliz isn't stupid. They've said over and over that it is f'ing hard.
The hard part about betting is taking into account the cheaters who will buy their way thru it. Theoretically, it should take quite a bit of farming to get the necessary gear to get thru just act 1 of Inferno. And I'm thinking you'll need a good bit of act 2 gear to get to act 3 and ditto for act 3 gear to act 4. So in theory, it should take a long time of farming. But if there are folks that are just gonna buy the gear instead, then that can cut the number of days seriously down.
The question is...Do those players seriously exist. And will they bite for the likely insane prices that will exist for the first couple months until prices drop towards reality. I mean, people are already throwing numbers out like $120 for premier items. WTF??
Anyway...i'll hazard my guess now.
SC: 99 (hey, why not go with the number of clvls from D2?)
HC: 285
This is assuming no cheaters and no abusers of exploits. Either way, I'm probably way way wrong. But I thought it would be fun to take the over.
64 days
That's my guess
Well using SWTOR as a guide people beat that entire game on hard mode in less than a month. I'll give D3 the same, 30 days.
100 days...
I'm guessing 93 days provided no exploits were used.
18 days. Playing WoW for years taught me to never underestimate the tip top most dedicated players. The fact that it's such a small group at once removes the logistic problems of WoW raids, much easier to get 4 people to play 18 hours a day then 35 people.
The race for the inferno clear will have only a few real players in it. The supply of high end gear for them to trade/sell to each other will be low. The main factor as far as "buying" your way to the top will be buying gold for repairs and crafting.
Given the lead these players will have at a crucial time in the economic development of the game, I would be suprised if they couldn't make up what they spent on gold to achieve an endgame character with the high end drops that everyone will be drooling to get their hands on. The level cap is 60, but level 60 will be attained at endgame hell or act 1 inferno, yet those players would love to be wearing act 4 inferno gear, and they will pay for it.
