From a peek at some of the datamined info, it's possible Blizz implemented a timer for at least one of the boss fights(anti-cheese? or just sheer Blizz evil?). If the above statements are true in retail about party members not being able to rejoin a boss fight after dying(softcore) then a timered must win fight (knife fight in a phonebooth style) will serve as a skill and gear check. Parties with cheap gear won't have a chance. Unavoidable damage as seen in the beta already will mean health globes will likely be much more important in a boss fight, along with high DPS. Also, if there is a timer, will the length of time stay the same or get shorter in each difficulty...

After hearing that NO ONE IN THEIR INTERNAL TEST TEAM WAS ABLE TO BEAT INFERNO, I am happy to say that I feel confident that I will turn out to have the most correct guess and you guys will all look like fools.

Edit: My guess is ~175 days for US, ~120 for asia...because their asian...

Considering that no one in internal testing finished inferno I would say ~2 weeks to finish inferno. And that will be smart group of people who will play 12+ hours a day for 2 weeks.

Re: Days until someone full clear Inferno Date Pool

    OP Updated!

With the recent wave of Jay's twitter, I'm kinda glad that ever since Bashiok revealed their internal 'months' bet neither he nor anyone in Blizzard withdrew that estimation, and even supported the notion that Inferno will be SERIOUSLY DIFFICULT. I like that

Given their optimism, even if after release it turned out that Inferno is only half as hard as they say, it will still be a really difficult challenge. I predict that a week after release Official General Forum will be filled with QQ and asking for Inferno nerf, and even blaming Blizzard for making Inferno stupidly impossible to complete, all for the sake of RMAH transactions. That may sounds crazy now but I remember that a week after WotLK release, people were complaining in the forum and betting that content will be nerfed within a month :S
