Really? I don't remember that at all. Was there any announcement like there was for the player matchup forum?

It was created not too long after the other D3 forums were created, so I'd be more surprised if you did remember it. Anyways, no announcement that I recall, but enough people did know about it to keep it active for a little while on topics such as PK, arena death, instant exit, rewards for HC, PK, one shot kill monsters, paid resurrection, and PK. Now that we've got a skill calculator, people could at least start discussing builds, but looking at the amount of discussion on the individual class forums it doesn't look like any HC specific Wizard topics are at risk of getting lost in a sea of SC Wizard discussion, so I'm not too worried.

The lack of a full, playable game may have something to do with the paucity of in depth discussion. I imagine forum chatter will start spiking post-release.

I'm still very much looking forward to a hardcore sub-forum.
