When I play any non-melee class, I find that shooting-and-scooting is an essential technique to use.
However, what is REALLY aggravating me is the fact that whenever I try doing this with the Demon Hunter (arguably the class that wants to do this the MOST), I get SEVERE rubberbanding to the point where I'd call it unplayable in an actual combat situation.
Here's a video to illustrate what I mean:
http://youtu.be/hKqg6vA0kaY
The first part, showing the Wizard, is how I do this with ANY other class than the Demon Hunter - perfectly fine. No rubberbanding.
The next part of the video shows what happens WHENEVER I try to do the same thing with the Demon Hunter. As you can see, it's pretty bad. I don't know why this ONLY occurs when I play as the Demon Hunter. I thought maybe it was a temporary problem, but it's been over a week and it hasn't gone away.
It also ONLY occurs when I attempt this most basic of techniques. If I stand perfectly still and shoot (instead of moving, shift-shooting, moving, shift-shooting rapidly) then the rubberbanding doesn't occur. What is it about doing this particular technique with the Demon Hunter would cause rubberbanding but not with the other classes like the WD or Wizard?
Please let me know if you guys suffer from a similar problem or if it's just me. Either way, it's horrible that this problem just totally breaks the Demon Hunter =/.
Yep, I have this issue as well. I'm also using this shift-shooting technique as you've called it. I never experienced this before patch 15 and reading the official forums its obvious, that many people have rubberbanding issues. It happens with melee classes as well, if you use skills while holding down the LMB. Of course, this may not be the cause.
happening most of the time for me when i move between hitting button and animation finish.
Happens to me, too.
I'm pretty sure it's just the beta servers being laggy.
Ah ok, good to know it's not just me.
I hope they fix it soon, as it basically makes the Demon Hunter more frustrating than fun to play, at the moment. :[
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they will get this fixed before release.
