Are Beta Keys still being given out?

Other than hoop jumping contests, is Blizzard still handing out keys to testers? At this point and with the release not too far away I can certainly wait but was just wondering if anyone has recently gotten a key.

You can visit Bashiok at Pax East and claim on there. Other than that, I believe they are done giving out keys as the game will be going Gold here in a couple weeks.

While any Diablo fan would naturally want a beta key, my advice to you is to try and not get one. That way you can get your full experience first time playing (something I and every other beta player have lost).

What I'm thinking! Going to be real tough but been waiting this long so why not get that new game smell.

i am not concerned about the full experience what bothers me is the wait. the wait was bad before but after playing the beta it got 10 times worse. before beta i was not even 100% about how much i wanted the game. i reached a point where i thought it was gonna be a flop (in my eyes. i knew it would sell no matter what) but after playing the beta its all i want to play. all other games seem boring to me right now. i used to enjoy poe but now i cant even touch that game.


so my advice, dont play beta cause it makes other games suck and the wait becomes worse

I wonder if this will be like SC2 and they will do a finally massive wave of invites 4 weeks before launch for stress test. Then close the Beta down 2 weeks before launch. If they were to do that then we would see the stress test wave go out on 4/17, this would probably come with a character wipe and out last Beta content change.

Then they would close the Beta on 5/1.

This is all only speculation, but it would make some sense based on the Blizzard recent history of game deployment.
