Hi all
Blade fury only works with on-hand weapon not the off hand claw. Is that correct? and does blade fury count as a trap from a minion point of view?
Finally, when using charge up skills, do assassins alternate hands per strike?
Thanks
charge-up skills donīt alternate claws afaik
blade fury does work with the main claw. the minion part iīm not sure what u mean
Blade fury is not a minion, not sure what you meant there.
Fists of fire, Blades of ice, claws of thunder use offhand for charging up ( they get two charges per hit if dual wielding claws and both attacks succeed ). Tiger strike and phoenix strike only use the main hand claw.
If you're using blades of ice ( say ), then dual wielding can be advantageous. If you have 75% chance to hit, it'll take 4 attacks one handed to get to 3 charges, but only 2 attacks with dual claws.
For traps, MPK doesnt work. So I was wondering if it works for BF???
Thanks for replies
I'm not really sure if only the main claw strikes or not...but either way it won't be any faster since each claw strike is a separate attack (only dragon claw is a dual claw attack and that will release the charges) so it will take just as long to charge up as it does with one claw assuming same speed claws (unless that wsm averaging comes into affect, not sure).
I just checked the weapon calculator: Fists of fire is:
8 frames with dual GTs
12 frames with 1 GT.
Now I'm not sure if the 8 frames is for both claw hits or for just one claw hit. Either way, it'll still be faster to use dual claws than single claw, as far as FoF, CoT, BoI are concerned. You can see that easily in game testing.
According to the sticky leech works with BF, so I'd imagine MPK works as well.
This is right, but technically a little off. Phoenix Strike only ever hits with the main weapon and there's no difference whether you use one or two claws (when they're the same base speed). If you have two claws equipped then the three elemental charge-ups will alternate between them, plus it'll be much faster than using a single claw. This is because using dual-claws (with these skills) is inherently faster, not because you hit with both in one attack.
Breakpoints for illustration:
Code:Pheonix Strike -------------------------- using either GT or GT/GT IAS frames per attack 0 10 7 9 26 8 60 7 FoF/CoT/BoI --------------------------------- GT GT/GT IAS IAS frames per attack 0 - 12 11 - 11 26 - 10 48 - 9 86 0 8 - 9 7.5 180 18 7 - 30 6.5 - 48 6 - 75 5.5 - 125 5
