i guess we took that statement 2 differtent ways. i did not read that as saying "only 5% will make it anywhere in inferno" i took it to mean "you will have to work you way up to advance". as far as we know you can still solo inferno they have not mentioned needing some super group to be able to do anything in inferno

Anyone can beat Inferno - it's just a matter of how much time you're willing to put into the game :P.

Sounds like D3 will be a cheap piece of **** on Inferno difficulty. It won't require you to remember boss patterns or perfect timings, it will just require you to have the right gear. (Mainly resistances and defense) Especially with so many cheap mods added to enemies. (feared? jailer? wtf? F you Blizz!)
So, you want the combat to be about how you avoid damage and deal damage more than how items enhance your character. In an item based game. Essential, making boss kills revolve around pattern memory devalues the items, because heck, if you get really good at that, you can do it without items.

I never managed to achieve that, but I loved the feeling that there was something in the game so hard I can't achieve until I get the best loot/build/guild etc. It's what kept me playing WoW for long time. Then Cataclysm came, everything became easy and reachable for everybody and ultimately the game started to lose subscribers for the first time in it's existence. Last time I checked it lost more than 2000 subs since Cataclysm because simply told, it sux. I don't want the same bull**** in Diablo. There is nothing wrong in having the content in the game you can't reach if there is enough content anyway. It only makes the game more bad ***, unless u're a spoiled lazy kid that wants everything brought on a plate, by someone else if possible... blah
Not to hijack the thread, but I would just point out that people were saying that everything came easy and reachable in burning Crusade when they launched the valor system, and then they said everything was easy when they nerfed BC raids, then when heroics were too easy...my personal opinion is the sub decline was more a natural progression of time and boredom overall, than a direct correlation to the lack of quality of Cataclysm. Yes, it has many flaws, but I find that many folks derided Cata due to what other people were saying about it, and not from personal experience. For the record, early beta feedback on MoP has been surprisingly positive, and if you look past some of the additions that are designed as time fillers (pet battles, farmville. etc.) you may be surprised.

That said, if you are a player who believes raids should only be played by the cream of the crop, then yeah, WoW isn't really for you anymore.
