Up till now this belt was a staple in planned gear for my Javazon (yes I've taken Razortail into consideration and decided to go more defensive route. It's cool to have 100% piercing LF but if you meet LI's it won't matter much if those LI's are gonna be Willowisps you'll be in big trouble because of the problem with resists). Big boost to LF, Strength (allowing to use a Stormshield), Vitality and especially Lightning Absorb were the main reasons for this belt. However recently I've read a thread about percentual and "absolute" absorb specifically citing TG's Vigor as the main example of that absolute one. Since I was hoping that the belt is gonna take care of the Willowips attacks and other potentionally dangerous lightning sources, I fear it's not gonna work like that. On the other hand I saw in I guess Nightfish's WSK amazon guide TG's Vigor mentioned as a way to deal with LR so I guess it has some value after all. What do you think?
T-God's also raises maximum lightning res by 10% and with 85% res, absolute absorb will be better than percentual absorb. It will make you more or less immune to any lightning attack from a monster if lightning res is maxed and you will even be healed because you absorb more damage than you suffer... except you run into a conviction boss, of course.
Regarding Razortail versus T-God's: I think Razortail is better against dense crowds (so the javelin will pierce through a lot of monsters, triggering more LF discharges), else T-God's is better.

You know I'm born to lose / and gambling is for fools / but that's the way I like it, baby / I don't want to live forever!
Just compare the names bro.
Razortail. Oh hey cool, I'm named by a 6-year old.
Thundergod's Vigor. Yeah buddy, I'm a god. Got dat vigor, quick movements son. UNLIMITED STAMINA!
You know the real answer. Real talk.
K-chan you're becoming the new Orphan.
Swag.
If youre going "pure" lightning dmg, then razortail is the right belt. Because you wont be dealing much with LI's.
If you want to deal with LI's, use TGods for res/abs sake.
I personally prefer razortail, but I mainly run chaos+cows.
Peace
I don't think you guys got the problem. There is percentual absorb (found for example on Lightsabre - 25%) and "absolute absorb" - TG's vigor. I thought that the absorb alone is gonna take care of the lightning attacks (meaning I don't have 75% or even 85% LR for god's sake, my LR is around 35) But now that I can see it will only deal with 40 points of the potential lightning damage I will receive (having + 20 Lightning Absorb), it won't probably help me much. I'm only asking about this. Please stop throwing Razortail ideas on me I know how the belt works, I know what it' good for and it's Fishyzon actually, forgive me to not write it down on the first place so it's not pure lightning. I have problem with resist especially the lightning one and just want to make sure the belt is gonna help me here. It doesn't seem so but as I said, Nightfish mentioned it in his guide so it's probably worth (but maybe only if I'm going 75+ LR which I don't. 75 LR is the target for me).
Hi, pal from ČRI have Tgot's on my zon for years because I like all those great stats you mentioned, but regarding absorb thing, this 20 absolute absorb is almost nothing unless you have at least 85% LR as I do, but even so, when I encounter a nice pack of souls it sometime hurts anyway. 75% LR will definitely not be enough for 20 abs to do the job. Having problems too with keeping LR as maxed as possible so I have a lot of LR charms in inventory, but I mostly run WSK so this is a must especially against souls. Hope this is what you ask about

You're the one missing the point. The effectiveness of integer absorb is highly dependent on your resists.

I didn't miss the point; I was from the beginning interested in the integer absorb or how you call it. I wasn't interested in the fact that it also raises the max resist because as a Fishyzon, I have general problem with resists (though I noticed I forgot to write it down in the first post).
Still... missing... the... point.
How well integer absorb works is highly dependent on your resists. I don't know how I can say it any more plainly. You can't talk about absorb without talking about resists.
If you have 50 lighting resist, the integer absorb on tgod's is neigh on worthless. If you have 85 lightning resist, the integer absorb on tgods will render you virtually immune to lightning damage.
