If you cant do hell chaos runs, why not farm Nightmare instead?
There you can get gear and charms (with resists) to beat anything in hell! Or did you skip the necessary Nm farming?
Peace
If you play on Bnet:
1) make barb w/ maxed Find Item skill. No other skills needed, although BO is very useful ofc, and you may want Howl to scare away stray monsters. Also some points in Natural Res for added survivability. Stats all Vita ofc. You can stack mf gear if you want, but it might be better to chase after white armors (at this point in the Ladder, anyway).
2) run after people in public Chaos runs, horking the corpses they leave behind
3) sell the gear you get this way
4) make a sorc, smiter or any char you want with the wealth you get from the items you find
Step 4) is unnecessary, btw. Had I continued horking throughout this Ladder, I'd have been much richer than I was making Uber runs, Meph runs etc. The only trouble with this strategy is that it tends to get boring after a while to just hork and do no killing at all. It's just not worth it to kill, because then you'd have to be close to the other players and they'd grab your horks. And it's not like that 10k Hammer needs your help killing anyway.
Note: if you play sp, all of the above is non-valid ofc.
Damn homey, why you be hatin' on a brother, y'all know homeboy don't be frontin' when dat big D in da picture, I go hard body situations, foolin' ain't even in dat vocab nahm sayn? D be real talk, no time for dem yukyuks.
I be eyein' other skillets up in this ***** be backin' yo boy, so you be dat Judy and judge fo yoself.
What's good.
In terms of efficiency vs cost, a Fishymancer wins out hands down, as he can be played naked without loosing much killspeed (with a good polearm on the merc that is).
Given cheap (but still useful gear) a hammerdin is probably at least as good an option for clearing CS. You don't need that much gear to make it decent at clearing the area. Having said that, if you still want to stick to your sorc, I'd suggest farming ancient tunnels instead.
If a necro isn't your thing, might I also suggest a wind druid? Spirit sword and shield, Jalals, magical +3 elemental amulet, Vipermagi, etc. should be easy enough to trade for. Heck, someone might give you low versions of them for free. As a bonus, low end druid torches tend to be dirt cheap, so you can probably save up for one of those no problem.
