perfect skull and ort from forge! got an annoying monster set though, both maggots and grotesques. leaping at specific targets sucks when you cant even click on them for all the tiny monsters running around. hephasto was holy freeze and took my merc out, but after separating heph out from the swarm and helping the resurrected merc a bit, he went down pretty quick. clearing the rest of the forge area took longer.

edit: put in Drystan's update to the table. seeing someone mention running around act 1 looking for a gem shrine gave me the idea to craft some knock back gloves. took me a long while to get two psaphires, but i did it. here was the best of the two crafts. not too bad, i really wanted the ctc frost nova and anything else good i can get. unlike most melee i dont mind the knock back. getting the nova on my gloves means i can shop for the cool life/res belts in act 5 when we get there. already got a 24life/ed% belt.

Artemis got an Eth and PRuby from the forge. Freezing Arrow is powerful, but costly, so I'm hoping to come across a Sol (or 2 more Amns,) so the Socket quest when we get there will be for any plain Polearm we find. Hephasto did almost nothing to her Valkyrie, and even though she's still going with pure dexterity, she's never been in any danger yet.

She did drop down to /players 1 when searching for and confronting Izual though. While level 30, that skill point went into Valkyrie, so it would've been a very long and boring fight on /players8. With his skill points, Artemis finished Cold Arrow and threw one point into Freezing Arrow.

Well, Vodka smashed Hephestus and BARELY reached level 29. Leveling this thing is horrible! But still, I SHALL NOT DIE!!!!

Are you using an Act 2 merc with the Savage Polearm recipe? That's basically what my bowazon was using. Level 19 Cold Arrow, which really didn't do a lot. I also lowered it to /players1 to kill Izual, as that fight takes forever anyway.

Finished off Andariel (easy with 75 poison resitance and a whopping 314-491 damage every fourth strike (or every seventh if I feel like leeching large amounts of life and mana with Cobra Strike), most of which is fire damage) and cleared out the sewers. Hopefully tomorrow I can get most of act 2 done as I don't have too much to do (assuming relative ease of finishing off homework may be too much to ask though...

)

Can I bring in an enchantress to enchant my character? I would like to play a barb that relies entirely on buffs for damage, no weapons he just punches his way thru the game with fists of fire. Would this be allowed?

To me this sounds like something only doable in Multiplayer.. And considering this tourny is running in singleplayer (single player forum yakno), I'd say no, that will probably not be allowed...

I have no say in this though, just my 2cents.
