For a while now, I was very interested to know how crit based bonuses interact with AoE skills, so I've finally decided to test this.
I choose the Wizard for this task, since I believe it's the only class that has such a bonus in the beta, namely AP on crit. The way I did my testing was to use skills and then move my mouse over the resource bulb to see how my AP changed after I hit the enemies. I recorded a video of this and then watched the critical moments frame by frame.
I tried Arcane Orb and Wave of Force multiple times, but to my surprise they generated absolutely no bonus AP on crit. To see of the affix itself works or not I tried Magic Missile as well and I did get the bonus AP with it. It would be great if someone else could reproduce this though.
Is this a bug? Maybe. If someone could create a thread about this on the official forums and ask, I'd really appreciate it. The account I use with the beta isn't mine and I don't want to post in someone else's name.
Is there any other similar bonuses available in the beta that I missed and could test?
