I also feel they kind of lack impact, but I think it looks good anyway. I don't wanna rant and complain before I see the skills in the actual game. Then we'll see if they are lacking anything.

I think the real problem is that when she first uses the Meteor spell, it didn't kill anything.

They needed to do what they did with the barb and have a tooled-out character rofflestomp through Normal to look super powerful :P.

I think that having Meteor instagibbing enemies is all it'll take to make the skill look like it has 'impact' :P.

I agree Zoot. When I first saw that meteor hit the enemies, I thought "Holy crap, these guys are toast!", but then I was like "What? They're alive?" Then again, due to game mechanics, I guess we can't have meteor one-shot every monster in the game, so yeah. Would be kind of imbalanced, but then again, there is a delay before the meteor hits the ground, after you actually use the skill, so perhaps that could balance it out. I like to think of meteor as a powerful spell that kills in a single hit, but I understand that game mechanics won't really allow it. Let's see if blizzard (as in the company, not the spell) will surprise me.

Yeah, I like the blizzard spell too, but whiter would've been nice, since lightning spells are also blue. It would differentiate them some. Meteor, on the other hand, is just bad, both in terms of sounds and visuals - especially those vertical yellow lines that appear on impact. There should be fire on the ground, instead, like in D2.

Lightning spells feel zappy and unimpressive. Sounds like a taser :(

Well, not only wizard animations looks terrible. Wiz and DH are moving like pinocchio. Wiz is my favourite and i wanted also to try DH even if I think he with WD are totally over-the-top for diablo, but run animation is just meh... like for such a big production. Instead Barb and monk animations are awesome.

Yeah, and the Barbarian's Leap doesn't kill in a single hit, either....in fact it does less damage because it's primarily a utility skill. They just put the Barbarian against much weaker opponents (probably a Hell-level Barb in Normal difficulty) so that Leap can one-shot even an Elite pack of Malformed.

I just think they should have done the same for Meteor :P. It would have done a lot to sell the awesomeness of the skill.

Hmmm indeed. I agree. Seeing the meteor not one shot something makes me sad.
