So I found this circlet today. As far as I'm concerned it has some good mods.

I just want to make sure before I throw it away.
Not really. Assassin circlets that actually valuable need 20fcr, and beyond that, they need stats like strength, dex, life, mana, resists and/or 2 sockets. I would say at least 4 coordinated mods to be valuable. 3 isn't quite enough, because a +2/20fcr magic circlet with 2 sockets would be better.
30% faster run/walk and visionary are useful mods, but that's about all it has, so I'd charsi it. It needed strength, dex, resists, 2 sockets, etc. - basically at least 1 more mod to be of any value. Even then, it wouldn't be a jackpot.
Rares of all types - rings, amulets, circlets, pelts, etc. - they need 5+ mods to be really valuable in basically all cases. If a rare only has 4 good mods, it might be valuable, but it is not a jackpot item. A rare with 3 good mods is certainly not a jackpot item.
Alright then, that sucks. I just thought it was rare to see dual leech (mana/life) on a circlet, and if you Um it then it got frw, res all, +2 skills, %bonus to ar, and dual life/mana leech. But I guess it needed FCR to be worth something then. Although I'm not sure what Assasins needs FCR for.
The most popular build for assassin is trappers and hybrids. The 65fcr build needs a 20fcr circlet and the 102fcr build uses a griffon's eye for the 25fcr.
While you can put an Um/jewel in it for resists, that doesn't mean it's "okay" that the circlet is missing the 4th, 5th and/or 6th mod. Remember, if the circlet had 20@res on the base, you could Um it to get a total of 35@res instead of just a messily 15@res. If the circlet is blessed enough to get 2 sockets in addition to the 20@res, you can get a total of 50@res - now you're starting to approach kira's guardian while still getting fcr, skills, etc. Of course, on assassins, they likely will put 2 jahs in the circlet, or an ias jewel and a shael. Those are the two most common socket arrangements.
Since martial assassin builds are not popular, 30frw circlets are not all that desired and valuable UNLESS they are godly. The market isn't big enough to accept random 3-mod ones. They will need 5 or 6 mods to be worth a lot. This is why I said it's best to just charsi it.
Leech doesn't really matter in pvp, so these mods don't really count. Mods like strength, dexterity, resists, life, mana and 2 sockets matter a lot more. The visionary mod is also good for a martial assassin, but it needed 2 sockets at the minimum as the 4th mod to be valuable. If it had 2 sockets, it would have been a nice find. It would have been sellable if it had strength or life instead of the leech mods.
Of course, faster run/walk is a good secondary mod if the circlet already has 20 faster cast rate. If you have both, that's just gravy, like my sorc circlet.
I don't know what it could be good for exactly or what it might be worth, but I would definitely keep it. It uses up just four spaces and there are probably other ways to get 35k gold.

If this were a druid circlet (for melee druids)... I'd say keep it. But for assassin? If it were me, I'd toss it. I may try and sell it, but it I couldn't get rid of it in short of 10 minutes, i'd pitch it and not waste my time.
The thing with rares is that a lot of them are not really sellable at the end of ladder or on non-ladder unless they have 4 good mods. FCR Rings are an exception, because everyone needs them, so they tend to sell pretty well. But we're talking about a martial assassin circlet here. Martial assassins... well... they suck.
I suppose a rift-sin or something could use it... but that's a pvm build, and pvm items aren't going to be valuable.... especially when only 3 people on the server are playing that build. We can't just ignore supply/demand here.
Of course, if the circlet was godly, you could fetch whatever the hell you want for it - regardless of class. For certain levels of rarity, supply/demand mechanics are thrown out the window. But for a 3-mod circlet? The class/type of that circlet matters a lot with respect to value.
Krischan please this is price check thread material? Lets not turn diablo 2 community forum into the general OP's general asking dump forum?
As far as I understand it, the question is if it's good enough to keep, but I agree that this might easily turn in to a price check thread. Diabloplayer45, you could ask for its value in the trade value forum, that might give you another good reason to keep it.

A bit in the line of krischan's post, I see absolutely no reason for throwing this away (or even more, for asking this question). I understand the question to some extent if you want to use this for trading, but other than that why would you let other people dictate what you should keep or not? Heck, I have a rare cap with a level req of 8 in my stash, just because of two 18-19% resistance mods on it. In short, keep what you want, and if you want to toss it, just toss it. That circlet is definately not bad if you don't have anything better on a level 67 Assassin. Like others have said, certainly not a jackpot item, but if you somehow feel bad about throwing it away, keep it.![]()
It really just depends on standards of the player. If the question was, "Did I hi the jackpot?", the answer would be a resounding, "No!"
He seemed a bit open to the idea of throwing it away too, given the nature of his post, so that is what I would personally recommend. I would toss it too.
If he has a melee-assassin, or has plans on creating one, he should probably keep it. But even a rift-sin might want a Nightwings instead, or use Gully's face. Those are two good helmets for pvm that I think would perform much better in the end.
