I mostly do self multiplayer games. Hell flayer and hell cs runs with my ww lance barb (lvl 59) doing the killing and have my orb sorc (61), bowzon (49) and IM+BG necro (47) sit at the wp or entrance to cs. Finding out they just have to be in the same area to get exp changed the way I play.
Each of those chars are quite well equipped now. I then have a bunch of chars in the low 30's who are currently lvling with each other in nm - exe barb, hammerdin, hydra sorc, LF javazon, war cry barb, jab spearzon. These chars aren't impressively equipped, but are decent at least.
I've gambled SO much gold by now and still have no nice rings :(
I know what you mean... I've been playing Diablo II since it was first released and have "found" only 3 SoJs since then - all of them while playing classic.
I started a cold sorc with some MF gear -- I'll report on any rares / uniques that I find. So far I've picked up a few Cathan's and Angelic rings, a Snakecord, and some Arcanna's items (Helmet, Staff).
I have every character imbuing at lvl 29, each getting rushed to hell at lvl 28 or 29 so they can do all three imbues straight away. Each char does 2 lances and one gothic bow. My best goth bow I've gotten is still a magical kings gothic bow of alacrity
