I still get a lot of pm's and comments about price checks for rares, especially rare rings and amulets. Please stop sending them.

Great writeup, looking forward to the amulets one. Can you do one for gloves too? Crafted blood, hitpower and rare gloves.

Finding good rings is hard

I do the best I can. I figure these are good examples of stuff they are likely to find, because it's what I found. All of these can be traded for at least several hrs on ladder, and some 10+

I don't recall a guide like this ever being written, so I think it needs to be here

I think will help people think about items in the game differently.

Seems to me that this thread is about what makes rings and amulets useful/valuable/tradeable.
We already have show-off threads for items that are stellar, why not a thread that shows us the basics of what makes a good ring/amulet?

Works for me.

This is a good idea. Assuming you add more stuff to it, it would be great to have a thread we can link people to when they're confused about what is and isn't worth keeping.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. Rares and crafted items really are where the long term fun is with D2 if you asked me.

On the 117% fcr and 200% fcr amulets, would it be just as good to have +2 to Lightning skills as +2 to Sorceress skills since they are both Lightning only builds?
