Aerin Spirit or Sacred Targe Spirit?

I am building a hammerdin atm. He uses aerin spirit with 45 base res. The armor is 1350 def AP engima. My question is, is it worth getting St spirit instead? I know st is better but it only increases def by ~120, which is 1/10 of the def from enigma. After holy shield, both shields should reach 75% (chance to block). The cost for st is much higher. Is there such a performance difference to justify the upgrade? Does st have faster block?

I play PvM and hammerdin is mostly used for rush.

Sacred Targe 60% block
Aerin Shield 52% block

Assuming 38% block from holy shield (between level 36 and level 44 holy shield), and a level 90 character, dex needed for max block is:

Sacred Targe: 153 dex
Aerin Shield: 165 dex

That translates to 36 BOable life. It is up to you whether you consider that to be worth the cost of the Sacred Targe.

Most hammerdins max block. Holy shield makes it so affordable to max block that it is hard to justify not doing it.

Ok I respec'd him to max block. Lost 300 or so BOable life but chance to block went from 2x% to 75%. His dependency on portions noticeably decreased.
