    Re: Cubing Charms ? !

What SCs would be best for rolling then?

SCs aren't worth rolling up at all. Any SC from hell mode can have the popular affixes (except one: 175 poison damage) and you will find more SCs than sets of 3x3 flawless gems anyway. Better use them on GCs from Diablo, Nihlathak and Baal.

    Re: Cubing Charms ? !

Yes but I was thinking more of which SC has the greatest probability to roll 20/5, for instance. I musst say there were some reasonable points made towards the latter half of page one.

Though perhaps this is pointless as well by comparison to those GCs...

    Thank you for the reply!

Find out the minimum item level needed for those affixes by playing around a bit with this affix generator (the item level is not equal to the affix level!), then find an area with that area level or higher.

    Re: Cubing Charms ? !

Which affixes do you mean by saying 20/5?

I have had value in rerolling small charms but that 's because I play single pass (no twinking, no runs). It's simply a way for me to see more charms when that character does not need all those gems. For the same reason, I often roll Grand Charms and jewels (usually looking for Fervor jewels).

    Re: Cubing Charms ? !

20/5 I think refers to shimmering scs of vita, similarly 3/20/20 refers to fine scs of vita used on melees.
These types of charms ( and stuff like 40/15 ruby jewels of fervor ) are near impossible to find. I have self found 3 Bers, 2 Surs ,etc but nowhere even close to 20/5s and 3/20/20 scs, yet bnet is full of them, they are obviously dupes

    Re: Cubing Charms ? !

Ah, a Shimmering Small charm of Vita with perfect rolls. That would be a nice one indeed. Wouldn't 5/20 be a more logical name for them?

It's not often you find Shimmering Small Charms with any useful suffix (or with a suffix at all...) of Vita charms with a useful prefix.

When I play, my characters usually keep all resist charms with 5% to a single non-poison resist (or 3% to all) per inventory space or with 10 or more life per inventory space. Obviusly, not all will be worn in the endgame, but I like to accumulate a 'toolbox'. That makes swapping between worn items easier since charms often can make up for shortcomings. Fighter characters will often keep good +AR charms (but I usually go with the 100+ AR Steel Grand Charms rather than the Fine small ones).

    Hello guys!
First time poster here. I've been a lurker for some time, but I decided to finally register so I could participate

Probably the best area to farm 5/20s would be in Act V Nightmare, Frozen River, Crystalline Passage, Glacial Trail, Drifter Cavern and the Pit of Acheron, for those are all lvl 61 areas, the minimum ilvl a sc needs for the Vita suffix. Those are also very good except for the Pit, because they can contain Wraiths, and especially the Frozen River since it can also have gloams, having those two monsters very good chances to drop sc's.

Yeah ilvl 61 is the best for small charms, at ilvl 62 you get stalwart's and serpent's available, which lowers the probability of getting a "good" prefix.
