Mysterious Defiled Crypt Events - D3 Beta

Anyone knows what it is exactly and where it is and what do I have to do to see this event?

There is the jar of souls event, and the matriarch of bones event. Run through each crypt and you'll find them. Might take a couple of games. Just clear each crypt. Jar of souls is awesome.

Jar of souls is the one with tons of skeletons that you have to killed for 30 seconds?

Neither quest is hard for any class

From what I can tell, of the three random crypts you get in any given playthrough, one will have Leoric's crown, one will have EITHER the Jar of Souls or the Matriarch's Bones, and one will be just a random small crypt. You're guaranteed one or the other event (never both) every map.

This is correct, from what I've seen. Also, I have gotten the Matriarch's Bones FAR more often than Jar of Souls. Like 3 to 1, over the course of the beta. Recently I'd gotten the MB 7 or 8 chars in a row. Which sucks, since JoS is much more fun and worth a lot more exp.

Incidentally, you don't need to kill the husband's ghost 3x on the MB quest if you don't want to. Just click one urn, run to the next, click it, and then run to the last one. All of the skeletons spawn, but the ghost vanishes and is recast each time you click a new urn, and you just have to kill him after the last urn to complete the quest.
