Also i got a genuine question about the pronounciation of the mercenary. PJ calls him 'murk' in his vids, while i was under the assumption it should be pronounced 'murs', when using the short version. Maybe a native English speaker can shed some light on that?

We all pronounce it "murk" as far as I know. True, the word "mercenary" is pronounced with the "c" sounding like an "s", but if you write out "merc" the c would be pronounced "murk". Plus, to me, "murse" doesn't sound right or as fluid to say. It's like "Sork" for Sorceress, as Pharphis said. Not everything in our language makes sense, so you may just have to take our word for it

@Pijus: Don't worry, you said it correctly in the necro movie. I was referring to a couple of other vids you made, where you had trouble with pronouncing mara's full name, ending up just calling it mara's amulet. Hence i was looking forward to your efford on that for this video.

@LiquidClear: Thanks for (liquid)clearing that up. Hearing it as a -k sound really sounds weird to my ears. I mean 'sork'. Really?? The -s would be how i pronounce it, if i just went with my gut feeling. Silly English speaking people. I think i'll have to make an attempt to rewrite the English language and get it done right. Hmm, i may have to do the Dutch language first as that certainly isn't the easiest and most intuitive language either.

Our bad. That's just how it should be pronounced when written that way, I believe. Perhaps if people were less lazy they would have originally shortened it to merce, which I believe would have the s sound to it.

MF has no effect on LK runs (aside from any monster kills you get, which should be almost 0?)
He probably goes to lvl 1 for council to make his merc appear there to help. I only recently learned that one.

Thanks, I'm somewhat relieved... All other vids show powerfull extraordinary builds.

1. So the merc can attack and cast decrep right up as I appear (since no tele).
2. When he was created I didn't have the runes for enigma yet and I've got used to play him like that, plus I like fortitude... When I feel like it i'll try to respec him to using an enigma mp to see how it works.
3. No need for mf while rune hunting. For special chests special rules apply. No uniques only magic or rare items. Charms are magic either way and jewels are good as they come (15/40 is a magic jewel). Mf also does not apply to runes. The only thing that matters is the /p7 setting so instead of mf and skills you can concentrate on dr, fhr, fcr, and block.
4. Yes. It can drop higher than Meph can (for example Tal's armor), and it can drop sacred targes as well. It became a habit while I was looking for my Tal's set. My prior map had a stable laquered plate stand, but fortunately it got lost due to a failed NM game (which I didn't notice at that time).

I like your video. Your voice gives you the appearance of a laid back dude. Nice job. You have a lot more patience than I do, that's for sure. 4 qualifiers in 5 hours would make me smash things. For the record, I got 8 qualifiers in 5 hours, which is almost as bad. LOL!!!

@LiquidClear: That was very good. How did you record your voice? Does bandicam do it automatically? It sounded very good.

Your gear is awful. Stay strong though, as you may have seen in a video somewhere, frenzy barbs get totally awesome with better gear.
