EPIC GAMEPLAY VIDEOS FROM COMPETITORS PUTTING EVERYONE ELSE’S SKILLS TO SHAME!!!!!
That’s right, in the coming weeks we will all bear witness to videos displaying impossibly fast runtimes and playstyles that boggle the mind!
Since these videos will be posted anyway and since, despite the personal embarrassment suffered, we average folks quite enjoy witnessing what characters at the pinnacle of optimization are capable of, I thought it would be nice to create a compilation thread for convenience. Of course, it is hardly fair to only allow MFO competitors the opportunity to show off, so I invite anyone with gameplay videos to share and anyone without a gameplay video to make one and then share it. This is just for fun, so do not let a perceived lack of skill prevent anyone from participating.
I will start this off.
Here is a video of one of my routine Classic CS runs:
I hate to post without a video, but I will make one of my HC Dreamadin when he matures a bit more for y'all.
I hope we get to see some nice pwnage and quick runs.![]()
Cool video skipjack. Is it normal to use two characters for these runs? seems really cool.
I would like to post a video myself but all my guardians are pretty dead. So that'll have to wait![]()
I'll put up some test runs later.
Thanks!
I would say using two or more characters for "solo" Classic CS running is pretty standard. Since characters do not have access to oskills from items like Enigma and CtA, Classic tends to be much more party oriented, with each class occupying a very well defined role. I actually began my project by doing solo /p3 runs with my Barb, but they were around 6 minutes in length (loading times included); by adding a Sorc as a taxi, I was able to do /p3/p8 runs in around 4 minutes; further innovations have reduced /p1-2/p8 runs to under 3 minutes. Once I acquire better gear for both characters and respec the Sorc to Blizz, then I fully expect to be doing 2 minute /p1-2/p8 runs. Now I just need to figure out a way to get rares to spawn with desirable mods.

There's some stuff here too.
Hello !
Nothing to do with "MFO" I'm afraid, this is a video from a level 24 hardcore sorceress (vs duriel nightmare) which I played following this set of rules (and as such it is a "solo untwinked no re-run linear hardcore low-level" character).

This sorceress finally died near the end of act 2 in hell, though...
I have many more videos (of characters played with the same rules) on my youtube account, including a complete playthrough with a naked assassin.
24 vs. Nightmare Duriel? I usually won't even take Normal Duriel before 24, that is crazy! The fight seems incredibly painful. getting off 2 or 3 Fireballs before returning to town for merc, pots, etc. I couldn't do it, doesn't seem fun to me, at all.
Well, challenge is why I am still playing this game more than 10 years after its release, playing the normal way (lvl 24 at normal duriel etc...) is no longer a challenge. Where you see pain, I see breathtaking gameplay
The fight was not even that long, about 20 min. I already had boss fights that lasted about 1 hour![]()
Oh, hour long boss fights, I remember the days when great games required them! Heart rescuing, palms sweating, can't even pause the game to pee.
If only I could remember what game I were talking about, I would go and play it.
I do remember all you had to do was their stupid grenades in the tank, that was a relief/let down.
