Who says they come from the US. I can pretty much guarantee that the boxed games are coming from somewhere in asia , most likely china, and sent to the EU and the US.

This... Didn't you guys get the memo about the West moving most of it's factory jobs off to Asia and Latin America where they can treat their workers like crap and get away with it?

Random side note... talked to Keith again today briefly . Nothing new about the release date as far as he is aware. Asked how he was liking Diablo 3 compared to the first two and he said there "really isn't any dramatic change in the gameplay" and that it "feels more like Diablo 1 than 2." Which kind of surprised me...

I don't think games are getting pressed/boxed somewhere in asia.

Take Sony for example: They press all their games/blu rays for Europe in small Austria.

I believe the idea that there are printed D3 copies at customs (waiting to come into Europe) was spawned by a European. Maybe I am missing the point of your frustration...
