barb only melee weapon class?

It seems to me the barb is the only class that will actually even "use" melee weapons in battle. The monk only uses his hands otherwise he'd be awesome. So all other classes may use them just for stats but that's it? 3 casters, one melee, one bare knuckle boxer? They really should of took the time for the monk to actually use weapons in battle or added a class that could wield these melee weapons effectively. Or make some way for the demon hunter to go assassin style melee maybe?
I mean the games about the loot so why doesn't the monk use his weapons, really?

Expansion class = Avenger. Dark Paladin who uses Necromancy-ish spells and Melee weapons. You read it here first.

Agreed. I've been banging the Monk drum since he was announced, but without him actually swinging a weapon, he is effectively made into a close range caster, which is odd when you think about it.

Honestly, that's basically the only rough lore you could add to the Expansion character.

We already got: destruction spells, holy spells, ranged, summoning, demon-ish and only some melee.

We only got room for Death/Dark/Necroish lore and and more melee.

Actually that's pretty close to a direct quote from them. It really was the reason for not having additional monk animations.

Anyways. I'm not hot about this. It's fine for people that love to play casters but those who want to use melee weapons effectively, and not play a barb it's a problem.
