This looks fun, and mostly right up my alley (love randomness!) but I have a question about weapon selection: I do not get the 2x one weapon type and 1x another weapon type. Is this just to screw with us and make it harder? Letīs say I want to play a character that uses scepter on one switch and javelins on the other while my merc uses a sword. Isnīt that possible/allowed?

WOW! Phoenix Strike was probably the best roll I could get! That makes up for the boots and falchion (seriously - has anyone ever used a falchion type weapon? I don't think so...). Thanks for the rerolls and good luck to everyone!

AFAIK it's allowed: your character is limited to two weapon types (+ additional class weapon for Assassin/Amazon/Sorceress). Your merc on the other hand has to stick to your roll only if he can use one of your chosen weapon types. If you chosse Scepters and Javelins for example, your Barb merc can still use swords. Your act 2 town guard on the other hand would have to use javelins (i.e. the specific rolled Javelin).

Also, I understand pretty much nothing from this section:

RANDOM CHARACTER RULES: Unless specified to not include, an Amazon rolled gets: Bow, Javelin and possibly Spear depending on Class one. Necromancer gets a Wandx2 and other random, Sorceress gets Orbx2, Staff x2, Paladin gets Scepter(can possibly be x2 if it rolls to be the multi one) Assassin gets Claw x2.

What the 'multi one'?
Whatīs a 'Random' character anyway?
Am I expected to go back to the earlier threads and find these answers there?

Vang, with your example barb, were the barb-specific helms included in the roll for helm type (the roll that ended with Skull Cap)? Or is a barb helm rolled as an extra (but you just forgot to include that in the example)?

Will a Paladin get a Pally-specific shield type rolled? Or two? And what if I prefer regular shields instead (since they can be shopped/gambled)? Can I get a barb helm roll for my merc if I am a Paladin and decide to go helmless myself?

I feel so confused. And stupid...


And a last question: Are all skill charges allowed for use?

You can choose 4 weapons total: 1 or 2 have to be class weapons (you have to choose subtypes, i.e. Amazon Bow/Amazon Spear/Amazon Javelin), the other 2 or 3 can be from any weapon class, but not from more than 2 different classes.

Possible Examples:
2x Bow, 1x Amazon Spear, 1x Javelin
2x Amazon Javelin, 1x Bow, 1x Javelin
2x Amazon Bow, 2x Bow

Not possible:
3x Bow, 1x Amazon Javelin
1x Amazon Javelin, 1x Bow, 1x Javelin, 1x Spear

You can have any merc you want but only rolled weapons/armors can be equipped on him.

So if the class-specific item type is not a weapon, itīs 3 weapon types we get (where two of them is of the same main type)?
