    Turning blue

I am a paladin. From a certain arrow I am turning blue, hurt, slow. Is it poison? What is the defense for it?
    Thanx

It's cold damage. You could get cannot be frozen mod from an item. (Raven Frost is a popular one) Also stack up cold resistance. Thawing potions unfreeze you if you are frozen and also give +50 cold res and +10 max cold res for 30 seconds

For an untwinked character Rhyme runeword (shael eth) shield is the most likely source of cannot be frozen (and a decent shield besides). Of course if you manage to find a ravenfrost that's great too.

Some even more basic advice would be to make use of the thawing potions bought from potion vendors. Also visit the diablo.wikia website for answers to any other basic questions about the nature of the game.

Did it ever cross your mind this guy is really new to the game and doesn't know what Runewords are? Everyone of your posts is a swing and miss lmao

I can never get enough of the Diablo Warriors on this forum, this guy seems like he just installed this game yesterday and you people are suggesting he gets one of the best rings in the game. Nice fail logic. Excuse my blatant trolling with this next comment(even though it's true), but lmao you people are *******s. InB4 they don't read my post and respond with "wow you get mad for me offering helpful information, i was just trying to help" no you weren't trying at all.

Sorry for the rant but I wouldn't have felt it was needed if I hadn't seen this so many times already on this forum. Let's all try and remember we were all newb once.

    Anyways...

Here is some more detailed info on Cold Damage.

    diablo2.diablowiki.net
    diablo.wikia.com

These are 2 main diablo 2 wikis. A lot of times you will have questions about things you don't want to wait for people to answer on god forsaken message boards.

The search engines can sometimes suck really bad on these wiki websites so just use google instead (with the website url included if you just want to search one website)

I'm not sure where that hostility is coming from. IncubatorJones answered his question, the discussion of cannot be frozen is a natural continuation, not a substitution of a high level answer to a low level question. IJ told him it was cold damage, told him about cold resist and thawing potions. What more "newbie" information does he need?

How about next time you just say "For those who are looking to combat cold at without good gear, check out things like thawing potions, etc" instead of jumping into a full fledged assault against another forum member.

Each person on the forum is going to try and help people out in their own way. Whether this involves recommending high level runewords or not is sort of irrelevant. The game itself is very old but if you feel like someone's suggestion or contribution to the thread probably isn't what the original poster is looking for then why not simply offer your own thoughts without attempting to ridicule or belittle someone else. No help is served to anyone (including the original person asking the question) by hostility like this.

95% of the time I'm right, so why worry about the other 2%?
