D-Clone spawns. I portal back to town and sell/stash my random junk, replace my mf gear with the best gear I can muster, and run to the waypoint to head over to the Stony Field. I may not be able to solo him, but I am damn sure gonna give it a couple of tries. Anyway, I click the waypoint and nothing happens. I notice my skeletons aren't following me. You can probably tell where this is going. Sure enough, I get disconnected shortly after. I try to get back in, but failed to join game. By the time I can connect the game is gone. FML.
I feel your pain. Nine times out of ten dclone games crash in short order. Race to kill him and quit out ASAP, before the game crashes and the anni rolls back. Of course a lot of the time it just crashes right away, with no opportunity to kill him.
A summoning necro can actually do him just fine. Grab a bunch of urdars for the crushing blow, and decrep him. Of course the time it takes to grab urdars is time the game could crash in, so I prefer a smiter/kicksin/frenzybarb/etc.
If you want to kill him quickly, you might not have time to revive urdars and sometimes you find them neither in the Durance nor at the River of Flame. If the game is older than 5 minutes, better switch to your anti ÜT character. A 1 point smiter with typical gear kills him quickly and with absolutely no problems, for example.
At least you had him spawn. Compared to last ladder, I rarely see even SOJ counts. I play a lot, but this ladder no Dclone spawns. Not even 2 Soj count messages in an hour long mf run game. I am still waiting for him.....
I've grabbed 4 Annis in 2 days this Ladder (/brag ). Lately it does seem quiet though. I killed Clone with my Light Sorc; a couple of times I almost ran out of gold for Merc res, and since he has 95% Light Res, it would've meant kissing my Anni goodbye. :eek: That's why I finally caved in and just made a Smiter like everyone else. I still hate Smith ofc - grossly op to the max. D3 better not have skill that a) always hits b) does insane dmg c) is uninterruptible d) is fast as hell.
Edit: wtf is wrong with the smilies? :eek: has been a smiley since the Stone Age... And now when I try to access the smiley list, nothing happens. It's like clicking the stash in a crashing Dclone game, lulzorz.
Same thing happened to me. I had someone join to help me kill and the game crashed within 2 minutes.
I hate the thought of supporting item websites but if there was any 1 item I would buy it would easily be an Anni. I would have no problem supporting some shop with a single all time purchase of 3$. I wouldn't feel like I was one who kept their business afloat, because you're going to make me laugh if you expect me to play games with these overridden servers constantly lagged out by illegitimate dupers.
Not even going to get started on gear that has been lost from servers crashing from duping during people transfering their leigit hard earned items. It's no wonder people buy items.
They should have shut the online portion of this pirate of a game a long time ago. Runescape has better security.
Oh and to fully understand how much of a joke it really is one has to know the reasoning for Diablo Walks even being created in the first place and what an ironic backfire it was.
Someone give me an Anni so I don't have support the destruction of bnet.
No honestly I'm going to spend a few days asking for a free Anni and if no luck I'm off to the shop since Anni shouldn't even really exist in the first place since it's purpose was completely lost. I will feel sorry for you poor suckers playing games with the crashing servers.
