yes except that blessed orbs have the most variation in value. Some ppl claim they are pretty abundant and value them much lower as in that table.
Exalted orbs, GCP, Chaos are the three most common used orbs for payment. Sicne these are the three most wanted orbs in this early stage of the game. I expect alterations to become much more wanted in some time due to the need in maps rerolling and endgame crafting. And GCP to lose its value when everyone has his maingems at 20% quality.

endgame crafting:
1. get an ilvl 74 item>roll 100 alterations until you got the perfect magic item
2. regal it to hope for perfect 3rd affix, then if failed use scouring and go back to step 1.
3. if succesfull, use exalted orbs, if these suck, scouring and back to step 1.
4. if succesfull>finished.

Blessed orbs are completely unneeded in this endgamecrafting, since you would only start step 1 with an item that alllready has perfect implicit stats.

I'm trying to get my hands on a cheap Searing Touch, but I'm not sure how to do it. I guess I should just make a post on the official selling forum, and list my gems. I have a chaos orb for instance. But I dont know the value of the Weapon.

EDIT:The trade chat ingame doesn't give me much of a response as to what the value is for a bad Searing Touch. If any of you guys have any idea, please share

Trading is still very confusing to me, but I'm getting there. Thanks for the values chart, I've been looking for that for the past few days.

Well, I finally suffered a death. To the act 2 boss. Got a little too cocky and thought I could just face tank him. Went fine once I stated using some strategy though.

EasyG: what uniques are you using besides the shield? Trying to figure out how people are getting block up to cap and how you get more elemental block.

Im using stone of lazwar to block spells.
my blockrate is 34% from shield, 5% from tempest shield (4+1 from inner force passive) and the rest comes from passives.

What I do when I look for an item is use one of these 2 websites and check the offers:

The second website is a bit better since you cna also look for better rolls at unqiues, but the first website gets updated more often.

Here you can check all offers, see what ppl bid for them and that way learn the value of the item, when you find an offer you would like to bid at, then bid at it and leave your in game name so they can contact you, or if they have their ingame name listed then you can contact/friend them yourself.

Personally I have never traded for rare items and also dont waste any alch's chaos anymore at rares, since I believe soon there will be higher level items and nowadays rares will be useless. I only traded for my aegis aurora and a perfect stone of lazwar. Now im looking for high quality gems, listed in priority: Iron will, molten shell, flammability, improve quantity, improve rarity, tempest shield, rain of fire, others.

Trading for a searing touch

a 6 socketed searing touch, like this one is very expensive, other versions, considering there are 150 for sale, should go max for 1 chaos, but are actually just trash.

So assuming you dont want to pay for a 5 linked 6 socketed one, I searched for minimal 25% fire dmaage and 45% spelldamage with the searchmachine and found this one to be the best offer: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/144314

so you could offer 1 chaos, then he will tell you he wants 2 chaos, then you say you dont have 2 chaos and then you buy it for 1 chaos or 1 chaos +1 alch.

some random info about burn damage

First thing to know is that item rarity and item quantity bonuses dont work when monsters die from burndamage, this is still a bug and pretty sad for fire based champions.

Second thing you want to know when you focus at burndamage is that burndamage doublescales from monsters resistance:
example you hit a monsters with 0% resistance for 1000 damage and proc burn damage. The nuke will do 1000 damage and the burn will do 1000*1.33=1334 damage for a total of 2334 damage
Now you hit a mob with 50% resistance. The nuke will do 500 damage and the burn 500*1.33*.5=333 damage for a total of 833 damage.
Now if you hit a mob with -100% resitance, the nuke does 1000*2=2000 and the burn 2000*1.33*2=5333 damage, for a tota of 7333 damage!

This is why you want to use fire penetration and both flammability and elemental weakness curse with burn based fire nukers, you can do two curses by taking the passive needed to do so, or by getting the windscream reinforced greaves that also allows you to use 2 curses.
Windcream is one of the better uniques and very hard and expensive to trade for.

I now has meatshields, like any self-respecting bow wielder (found a raise zombies gem). Had no blue sockets, so had to shift things around a bit.

I finally got my Searing Touch! It costed me 1 chaos orb and 1 orb of alchemy. It has 37% spell damage and 31% fire damage. And he threw a gem for chance to ignite and a gem for flammability into the mix. I think it was a okish trade.

For the time being, yes I am. Split Arrow with Fork support gem (looks very cool). Backup skill is (forget the name of it) whatever the OW-like projectile skill is, with increase crit multiplier.
