Yes.
No.
We can't call a Christmas Tree a Christmas Tree anymore... It's now a Holiday Tree. What do you guys think of this? Is this going too far?
In the GDR, the official name for Christmas was something else as well, winter tree fest or so. It was probably meant to celebrate surviving the four enemies of socialism: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

You know I'm born to lose / and gambling is for fools / but that's the way I like it, baby / I don't want to live forever!
Here, say it with me:
"Fire hazar--", erm, "Christmas Tree."
Did the cops show up and haul you off? No? Well then....
If you're hearing this from politicians or talking heads on the boob toob, they're just being PC to foster a sense of inclusiveness. These uh, 'fine citizens' fear that alienating groups x and y for the sake of group z might affect their bottom lines (ratings, votes, or what-have-you). No, you don't have to go along with it.![]()
We went through that over here a few years back. All the big political and government people got on their high horse about it needing to be holiday and not Christmas. Things have mostly reverted back to normal now, as the public decided that it was stupid and didn't go along with it for very long.

I think its pretty funny.
I'm completely non-religious, but I loves me some Christmas!!
It's Christmas, mother****ers!!!
It's still the rule in official taxpayer paid items.
My Current City does Holiday corners and has Muslim and Jewish, Christmas, and a Buddhist to everything-else-freeforall Display in the fourth display corner.
Everyone Individually can say what they want but on the city finance forms?
Why make trouble?

I'm atheist (and reside in Canada), and I think this is the stupidest thing ever. There's nothing wrong with calling it a Christmas tree. This is taking blah-blah-blah-correctness way too far.
