Hiyah. What lvl is optimal for crafting blood belts (buying, crafting)? What about blood rings? I figure a good belt and ring will cost me a fortune, so might as well try my luck with crafting myself, unless the req is something ridiculous like lvl 95.
The mods I'm looking for are ofc 24% fhr on the belt and +Str, +Dex, @res and ll on the ring.
Regards
Greizer
you would like to be lvl71+ for the %100 chance of 4 extra mods on craft. below lvl70, you might have less than 4 mods on crafts.
according to Affix Calculator belt needs to be lvl85 if i did not make a mistake. so you need to be lvl88 to guarantee the craft the best mods (+21-30strength mod is the top lvl) when gambling&crafting.
for rings lvl77+ is fine i think. i need a confirmation though.
not %100 sure, someone more knowledgeable can answer with better.
I mostly care about resists and +life when I craft belts, so I usually do it right when I start NM, at clvl 49. Single resist 30% and +60 life affixes are available on Mesh Belts by then. I buy Mesh Belts from Charsi (it often takes a lot of visits to get one) and go for it.
BTW, you need to be clvl 69+ when you shop and craft something for the output ilvl to become 71+ (to guarantee 4 random affixes), so that is something to keep in mind for the shoppable crafting supplies.
Thank you for the infos. If I've understood correctly, shopped items in Nm and Hell have ilvl = char lvl + 5, so if I need ilvl of 85 on the belt, then the optimal buying lvl would be lvl 80. My only high-lvl char is 89 atm, so I guess that's good enough; the main thing is that I'm not too low after all.
I was given an 11% leech ring by a friend lately, so I guess I'll focus on optimizing the belt slot first, since I dearly need the fhr. There's a final point I'm confused about with crafting belts: what is the effect of the type of belt? As in, what does it matter if my belt is a Belt, Mesh Belt or Mithril Coil? Is it simply that the lower types of belts can have the wanted affixes at lower ilvls? If so, why not buy the lower types of belts, too, since defense hardly matters on a belt?
Normal belts don't have 16 potion slots (except for plated belts), it's better to use at least exceptional ones. In most cases It's not worth investing into str just to meet the req of a crafted elite belt, but if your character meets it anyway, it doesn't matter.
When crafting, the level req will go up by 10 plus 3 times the number of random affixes, so it might be a good idea not to craft rings at a too high level. Having the 6% ML affix will lead to a level req of 96, for example. You can find out the corresponding item level by playing around with the mentioned affix level calculator.
