Coming back to the game after a while and I wanted to make sure that when in vamp form a necro walks at his run speed. I know this was the case in like 2006, has this been patched?

Nope, you still glide at run speed (with no block penalty) when walking.

Related question; how much FRW is ideal to stay out of reach in PvP? I'm now at 139 (Cat's eye on) and have room for 4 skillers so I'd be 170 then (9,14 speed from frw chart). 139 still feels a bit lacking.
